Opening ceremony felt like it took forever, I'm dying to see some medals handed out to Canadian athletes. <3 Early prediction: 20 medals for Canada. (I can dream can't I?) The MLB thread. - Katie - 2008-08-08 I can't believe that no one has mentioned the Detroit Tigers (and their not so well season).... I have always supported them since I have lived there my whole life and that won't change ![]()
The MLB thread. - Five Second Pose - 2008-08-08 We're only mentioning teams that did something exciting. The Tigers have sorta... dropped off of the face of the Earth in terms of news... LOL, he's right. To be honest, the last "big" thing I heard about Detroit is the trade they did involving Pudge. Some quick research shows me they're currently 56-58, looks like they're on route to nowhere this season. The MLB thread. - Baklava - 2008-08-08 On top of their recent failures, they now have a 10 game losing streak. I officially disown the 2008 Oakland A's. The MLB thread. - Five Second Pose - 2008-08-08 They're sucking without the D-train on track. =[ EDIT : Ha, Jays swept them. That's when you know there's a problem. The MLB thread. - Anything - 2008-08-09 Jays lose 2 in a row now...there's definitely some kind of problem. The MLB thread. - Baklava - 2008-08-09 The A's won yesterday. I proceeded to open a can of wtp. Probably just got lucky or something. I'll be expecting a loss today. The MLB thread. - Retalion - 2008-08-09 You mean I forgot to mention the Tigers when I was talking about teams breaking season losing records? They were SOOO close to breaking that record but stopped at 119 or something >=( Mariners fans, rejoice! Im rooting for you this weekend cause you're playing the Rays, LOL The MLB thread. - Five Second Pose - 2008-08-10 Scott Richmond gave up two runs in the first inning, right now 3-0 Blue Jays, top 8th. Anyhow, Jays get swept by the Cleveland Indians. It really wasn't much of a surprise that we would lose the 3rd game, a rookie VS. a Cy Young candidate. Though it wasn't that bad of a start by Richmond, he only gave up 3 earned runs which is funny because in all his starts he has only given up 3 earned runs. Btw, Indians win 4-0. The MLB thread. - Worthyness - 2008-08-11 Whee Oakland A's 3-21 in the last 24 games! Woot! losing season #2 here we come! >.> The MLB thread. - Anything - 2008-08-12 Worthyness Wrote:Whee Oakland A's 3-21 in the last 24 games! Well...at least they're not as bad as the Mariners, right? ![]() Blue birds win 7-2, Verlander got absolutely pummeled by the Jays. <3 The MLB thread. - Baklava - 2008-08-12 Anything Wrote:Well...at least they're not as bad as the Mariners, right? The MLB thread. - Baklava - 2008-08-13 Holy crap, news flash. The A's beat the Rays. The MLB thread. - Retalion - 2008-08-13 Baklava Wrote:Holy crap, news flash. First the Mariners, now the A's >_> GO A's GO The MLB thread. - Worthyness - 2008-08-13 Whee go A's =P now win tomorrow too xD The MLB thread. - Baklava - 2008-08-18 The A's now have the habit of winning the first in a series, then blowing the rest. Rays series: Won 1st - Lost 2 White Sox series: Won 1st - Lost 2 Twins series: Won 1st - ??? The MLB thread. - Five Second Pose - 2008-08-20 Jays are on a roll, Burnett with 13 Ks in his last start. |
