I think Nexon is trying to get all mayor Maple's to the same "level" so they can patch all new stuff at once to all versions in the future. Saves a lot of repetitive stuff with all the individual patches.

Go there and read about Nexon's NA CEO saying that for the moment, they will be focusing all their effort on Dungeon Fighter Online.

Nexon America wont do the same MSEA did, they are not that smart. They havent even showed any insterest in fixing the current glitches in the game, do you think they will be focusing on giving us Big patches then?.

Too bad for Combattente who has been expecting for tespia all this time, cuz i dont even see that happening soon Goggleemoticon

Not only is drawing out the content over a longer period of time more profitable (asiasoft probably loses money out of doing everything at once) for themselves, but it also causes less problems and bugs, meaning a more happy community. No one gives a f'uck about huge ass patches if something like the ultimate D/Cing glitch or bow whacking glitch appears again from it.

maplesea is lagging like crazy shitz
1) login and str8 lag for 1min and dc
2) stuck at char login page for 1min then dc
3) connection failed due to system error when logout
4) train halfway lag for 1min and dc
5) 5 seconds delay when selecting world / login in

Don't go channel 7 ~ 10, it's lagging real badly.
Wait for a server check to fix it.

What the "old" system is is that only 1 character and your cygnus are connected. "New" has all lower level characters getting a buff from your strongest, and your strongest gets the next link down. Old HAS to be Cygnus and 1 main, new = everyone.

I agree. That interview kinda disappointed me, because I thought NEXON was investing all their money on MapleStory, but I guess I was wrong.. Blah.. I even watched some videos of Korean Dungeon Fighter Online and I really don't like that game. I hope it won't have the success that NEXON expected, so that they'll start focusing on MapleStory again. Just because that game had more success than MapleStory in Korea, it doesn't mean it's going to be as successful in the States.

Also, yeah, I thought about something. Like you're saying, if they're investing all their money on Dungeon Fighter Online, they probably won't waste their money on Tespia (because, well, it actually COSTS money and work) or to buy bigger MapleStory patches (I've read somewhere that NEXON buys the patches from kMS and translates them - the bigger a patch is, the more is the money spent from NEXON).

Well, if they won't open Tespia and keep all the other promises they made in this announcement, I'll start considering them a really bad company. They said that they were going to open Tespia for some patches, and they still didn't. But yeah, they said CERTAIN patches, so I can kinda understand. Only 2 months passed since the notice was posted. But if in the next 3-4 months they still won't open Tespia, I will lose all my faith in them. Everyone can see in that notice that they said they would have done that, but they still didn't. If they knew they probably wouldn't have done it, they could've not said it.

Also, what about hackers? They said they would have done anything to "resolve the hackers problem", but there are still many FM d/cers and all kinds of hackers going around MapleStory. Yeah, they ban many of them everyday (see their Twitter), but that doesn't resolve anything. They should instead try to PATCH all the hacks permanently (well, with GOOD developers, it wouldn't be so hard - even private servers have a better hacking protection) or IP ban them (at least, noob ones who don't know how to change their IPs will be gone).

Customer Service? Yeah, it has improved a bit, but it's still not perfect. With all their money they could hire more and more staff, and replying to all those tickets would be a little easier, and they could give better responses. Oh, wait, they want to invest their money on Dungeon Fighter Online.. Tongue

Why making an "Open letter to the community" when they are NOT going to keep their promises?

I'm not sure about that info, but yeah, it should be like that. Remember that, even if NEXON Korea, Japan, America, etc.. are ONE company, NEXON Korea is the one who develops all the main content for the other versions, so the other NEXON branches (and other companies like Asiasoft) have to "buy" the updates from them.

Again, I'm not sure, and I might be wrong.

So from the sounds of it, this is another d/c patch? Sx2bu MSEA. It would be nice if when releasing awesome content like this Asia Soft didn't screw it up. Or Nexon for that matter. Rolleyes

And why would the other Maple versions have to buy the patches? Aren't they different devisions of the same company? Nexon Korea designs Masteria content too, do we have to buy that as well?
