Personally, I just got done listening to a 2 hour long video hosted by IA on atheism+, and the parallels are pretty funny to me, those people were even more inept than the current SJWs are though, at least the leadership was.
Honestly? I personally have never expected anything approaching integrity from a journalist from the very beginning, because it's a rarity even in fields were everyone isn't in bed with each other. For me, this is about pushing those goddamned annoying SJWs out of my hobby; they are trying to change it into a politically correct, unfun pile of dogshit that nobody would ever play, and in fact, most of the anti-GG leadership DON'T EVEN PLAY VIDEOGAMES, so REALLY nobody would play them since even the ones pushing for it wouldn't be doing so either. Depression Quest is NOT a video game. The atheism+ video I just watched made a point that is, to me, the most important point in this entire thing; one of the guys on the stream is a mathematician, and he stated, if there was ever a game geared specifically toward mathematicians, HE WOULDN'T FUCKING PLAY IT, because that pomegranate wouldn't be fun, and that's the exact same reason Depression Quest is not a real game, and that's the EXACT TYPE OF GAME THEY WANT TO FLOOD THE MARKET WITH. Games that aren't games. Games that aren't fun, because fun games will always offend SOMEONE, and offending absolutely ANYONE is an affront on par with mass genocide, rape, insert retarded rhetoric. Most people are nicer about it than I am, or can at least ignore this and hope for the best in letting the gaming community decide what games they receive, but these people are fucking ridiculously loud, annoying, persistent, and above all, they don't mind lying through their teeth to others and to themselves to get what they want, because they have absolutely zero moral fiber to hold them back from behavior that a normal person or even an abnormal person such as myself couldn't even bring themselves to do because I couldn't even look myself in the mirror at night if I tried; even if nobody else ever knew, I would be too goddamned embarrassed with myself to live with it, at times I actually get embarrassed FOR THEM when reading some of the pomegranate they post, it's that cringeworthy.

Shes attacking notions of "masculinity" as toxic, not males themselves but rather the expectations placed on men which "apparently" can lead to violent outbursts like school shootings.

I disagree. It is not any notion of masculinity that could lead to violent outbursts but, in my opinion, it's the bullying. That is why I disagree with her, and her talks.
I believe she ignores the bullying the entire world culture lives and blames it all on an "toxic ideas about masculinity".
There are far too many issues that are involved in school shootings for her to blame it a specific one.

I worded my post badly. Bullying was meant to be implied.
What she's saying (in a standard attention whoring-controversial manner) is that the way men are expected to react and behave to things such as bullying, (with stoicism, equal or greater force, etc.) is a factor in why men are nearly always behind mass shootings.
I don't even agree with the point fully. Its just a controversial blanket statement ignoring other factors like you said.

At first I wanted to stay away from this because I didn't want to waste time reading what trolls/insane people/liars/etc have to say about games. Then they tried to come up with their agenda and bullpomegranate to my favorite game (of course they got called out and failed. The English speaking community is rather smart and reasonable) and I got the motivation I needed to get these "journalists" away from my hobby. No amount of trolling will stop me now, if they don't remove these "journalists" that don't report on anything but just lie about games and communities, even if they end up destroying names or presenting a bad image (that's false) just to push their agenda I will keep calling them on it, forever.
Unlike these SJWs/trolls we are patient, we don't expect immediate results but we will get there, even if it's one by one, those corrupt sites will either become irrelevant blog sites were nuts post their whiny ramblings or a better source for news that are based on facts, fairness and balance.
EDIT: Huh, I'm listening to yesterday's IA stream and I like what TB had to say. I was never really into his videos or podcasts but he seems quite reasonable. I think he's as neutral as one can be about this.

i wrote it on tumblr, but this is pretty much the biggest PVP match with a random team i've ever played. and we're winning it dammit, the other guys don't even play the darn games.
as for that anita tweet, i've gotten to the point where it's hard not to read everything she posts as male-hating, she just words it in such a way that her overzealous followers also read it that way. reading that tweet and judging solely the tweet and not who wrote it though, i have to agree. men are expected to be strong and "deal with it" in many ways, as many shows and such prove, like that "abuse on men by women" study/social experiment did. women are seen either as a weaker sex, or, in a much less sexist way, a sex worth defending more than the other, while men are expected to defend themselves and alone.
that is indeed a toxic idea of masculinity.

Right from the moment that David asked her about the relevancy of the death threats to Gamergate (90% of tweets pretaining to her being neutral, 3% being positive, 7% negative and whatnot), you can see immediately that she jumped to the defensive, and from there remained throughout. He heard her side of the story, gave some factual background, and did not take side; David merely questioned the possibility of the two even corresponding to each other.
She claims that by publicizing the death threats that she forced certain journalism sites to take action. But did it really? Sites like Game Informer only spoke out because one of their writers were exposed while trying to lend support to Zoe Quinn. Completely irrelevant to Wu. And also lol at the internet connection problems and hiccups happening therein.
So after watching that, I wanna ask if anyone else thought that was a hit piece on Wu. Because being honest, I don't think it was for the reasons he concluded with.

I was a bit shocked at her accusation and I'm really pleased with his reaction. Some of his questions were aggressive, but I think his reasonable tone and calm demeanor were exactly what this issue needed. She got every chance to respond to the questions and get her perspective out there. I think he has every right to be offended by her accusation since it was exactly what he had avoided doing throughout the entire interview.

Pretty good stream. Wasn't expecting 4 hours, but I'm about 3/4 through it now. She's not a parrot like some of the other females in this like Jaydefox; she brings up important points without having someone else bring them up first, and I like that.

So I listened to about 3hrs of that video while studying quantum mechanics and I can say it was rather distracting at times. This is high praise from me. I think she brought up some excellent points about the kickstarter donation issue and several others which I can't recall at 2 AM. Also, my god this guy is in love with 'Let's Play'. I think he somewhat strayed from the topic at hands and it was actually Liana who brought things back on topic by tying it in with game reviewers.
I'll try to find time to watch the rest later this week but I'm swamped and shouldn't have watched as much of it as I did.

I feel what made her entire stance so amazing is that there are issues that journalists have with this stance, that aren't spiteful but confusing. She elegantly pointed out real repercussions, and real stresses the journalists have, and I can deeply appreciate that. She was able to formulate an argument about what was wanted or needed to be known without at all discrediting anyone.

So this entire mess was born of entirely different intentions; her research and discussions ideally only aimed to free gamers from the shackles that modern day SJWs are trying so desperately to fasten around their ankles.
