Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Razmos - 2014-03-31

I dunno, i'm still using Blessed Hammer + Thunderstruck Rune at level 70 on Torment 1. Now that i'm more or less fully geared with level 70 stuff, it shreds through everything and can take down elites in seconds, especially with Akarat's Champion active.

Beat act V on my Witch Doctor last night. I started it on Torment 1 but had to lower the difficulty for Malthael. Even with the amulet that absorbs cold damage, the second phase was pretty much impossible for me (when he stops summoning the ice fields and starts summoning Exorcists and the spinning skulls.

It was so frustrating to get his HP so low just to get caught out against one attack and get one shotted and have to start again, especially when he has such stupid high HP that it takes like 20 minutes each time. I eventually gave up and lowered my difficulty ALL the way to normal at the start of the fight, and killed him really quickly.

Funnily enough, this earned me the "kill Malthael on Torment in under 3 minutes" achievement, even though I lowered the difficulty to Normal. that has to be a bug.

Yesterday I got my Wizard from 63 to 67 in around an hour from doing Nephalem Rifts on Torment 1 without any bonus EXP gear or even a hemlet Ruby.

I'm loving RoS so far, although I mained Barbarian and am not fond of much they got nerfed.

At least it's not Cold or Lightning. I'd feel a lot better about this if Blazing Sweep weren't bugged since that's such an awesome skill. Tempted to reroll it into Holy since there's so many more skills available, but I'm not made out of Forgotten Souls.

Crusaders seem lacking in wrath spenders it seems. I don't know maybe it just doesn't fit my style . They seem to be the craziest support for parties though. That 100% crit hit / 80% crit increase from law active and judgement. Not to mention it roots. I have about 9m toughness and 500k damage so I'm not hurting much in either. Still getting better equips too !

I noticed Monks actually attack with weapons now. Pretty sweet! Picked up a 2300 dps 1 hander with a socket lvl 46 requirement. Time to roflstomp mobs on my alts Big Grin

I'd take a reaper wraps with lightning for my sader since he uses thunderstruck. Justice crack rune works nice too.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Raph589 - 2014-04-01

Okay so I noticed loads of people are now in the 700k-1m dps range. I for one have been playing Diablo A LOT since the expansion and only got to 245k. Now I'm most likely stuck since every item I find is so much worse than what I have equiped. Even the legendaries are worse than my rares. I must have pretty bad luck or there's something I must be doing wrong.

My friend linked me to this: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/M4ELSTR0M-2409/hero/38635397

Damage: 1442500
Toughness: 1988300
Healing: 0

Crazy.

My Wizard is up to a little under 400k Damage. I think most people get to 1m from Critical Damage+Hit Chance, as my damage skyrocketted once I started stacking it.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Justin - 2014-04-01

The key to getting really high sheet DPS is crit chance + crit damage.

Take my Demon Hunter for example. 443% crit damage essentially means that whenever I get a critical hit, I'll do 5.43 TIMES my regular damage. Paired with a particularly high crit rate, you can see how your estimated DPS would start to inflate quite dramatically. (On a side note, I finally hit 1mil DPS / 10mil toughness, woo \o/ )

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Polantaris - 2014-04-01

Ten MILLION Toughness....is it possible for you to die? Or take damage?

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Justin - 2014-04-01

haha... it's a lot easier than you think, even on just Torment 1. Rolleyes

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Polantaris - 2014-04-01

I blame diminishing returns on Resistances. Even though you have like 500 higher than mine it probably only gives an extra 5-15%, but probably adds a crapton to your Toughness score.

Plus half of the time it feels like Resistances don't even matter when you hit an elite pack, they tear straight through it. I know it does, but it doesn't feel like it sometimes.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Justin - 2014-04-01

Yeah once you hit like 1100 resist the diminishing returns hit you like a freaking truck, so it makes seemingly little difference. Elites will rip through your Hp no matter what you do, so it's best to just avoid Crowd control projectiles and beat their faces in with raw DPS. I have about 40% crowd control reduction, so that really saves my hide when I just simply cannot avoid getting caught in some nasty stuff.

At this point I need more life on hit, though it seems kinda pointless since at most a person can reasonably stack like 8k LoH without sacrificing too much toughness/damage, and when you have over 400k health it's not going to save your ass. A lot of stuff like that needs tweaking for sure. T6 seems almost like an impossibility at this point, given I'm almost completely geared in legendary equips all with beneficial/primary stats and still can't survive that well in T2/3.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Phoenix Wright - 2014-04-01

My wizard can just kinda stand there and tank stuff in T1 but he has something like 10-12m toughness :| and my damage is ~500k after using a few buffs.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-04-01

I hate that % Arcane and % Disintegrate isn't calculated into the sheet DPS. It makes me seem like I'm rather weak even though my Disintegrate is basically at 1180% damage and due to the fact that Attack Speed % completely wrecks me and causes my AP to drain like no tomorrow. I feel like people severely underestimate Ele % and Skill % affixes.

I don't even feel like LoH works...on Hit. I don't see myself gain HP more than once from multi-hit attacks like Arcane Orb - Frozen Orb and others. That coupled on with all LoH being flat values instead of % makes it far worse than it should be.

Although I will admit...it has saved my life a few times. Sometimes that 5-6k/hit can save your life, especially if its from a skill that hits without you doing anything. I've been saved by a Hydra or Blizzard more times than I can remember, simply because they last a while and can build up enough hits to save you from some jumping mob or something just in time to be able to use a Health Potion or kill it.

They're awesome, but they're some of the hardest ones to enchant properly, because unless it's a Primary skill the list goes on...and on...and on....and on. I've spent 30+ Death's Breaths just trying to get a single line out of ten...some of those lists make me immediately abandon an item because I'll waste everything I have trying to get lucky, and then knowing my luck it will be close to min.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Shidoshi - 2014-04-01

My barb has about 900k sheet DPS as well as bonus to Whirlwind and Lightning damage, it has about 5m toughness dual wielding and about 8-9m with a shield (in exchange for ~100k dps).
I don't like bloating my HP to get more toughness, since it makes your life per second, life per hit and life per fury much less efficient, so I'll usually skip on Vit stats on my equipment and favor Armor/AR or Regen.

His healing is somewhere around 60-70k for his ~200k HP

Well that explains why I wasn't getting Imperials from Caches last night.

Quote:[UPCOMING HOTFIXES]
  • Drop rates for Mighty Belts and Quivers have been lowered to match other class-specific items.
[This hotfix will require a patch, and is no longer upcoming for 2.0.3.]
  • Belial will now correctly drop loot when killed in Adventure Mode.
[This hotfix will require a patch, and is no longer upcoming for 2.0.3.]

[LIVE HOTFIXES]
  • Rats spawned from Rat-Infested Corpses no longer grant experience or loot.
  • Level 60 Infernal Machine Items can no longer be used if the associated Level 70 Infernal Machine portal has already been opened.
  • Bounty bags now properly ignore Difficulty setting when opened. You can no longer get Imperial Gems or increased gold by opening them on a higher difficulty.*

Whelp, RIP bounty bag "exploit".

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2014-04-02

I've heard that when you open a T6 Cache, every gem inside will be Imperial.

I just opened 10 Normal Caches on my Crusader in Normal, and I think I ended up with a few Imperials. As far as I'm aware, Normal Caches have a chance to drop Imperial gems to begin with. Spent a lot of the day split farming Normal Caches with some friends. I only got 1 Legendary, Boots of Disregard, which are okay for my Crusader, though she doesn't stand still that much. Considering rerolling the STR into DEX for my Monk to use in higher Torment as she's a healer build.
Meanwhile, my friend gets 2 Rings of Grandeur, and a Soulsmasher as a Monk, which is exactly what I'm trying to roll for my Crusader. I invited another friend who had just logged in to collect the cache in A5 earlier and he got a Soulsmasher out of it as well. I just want a replacement for my Crusader's weapon and this would be a good stepping stone until I one day get a Fate of the Fell *crosses fingers*. Otherwise, a decent Maximus so I can keep a nice Fire set for my Crusader would be neat. Plus, the Grandfather transmog looks so much better than everything else in the game.

Wouldn't mind a Death's Bargain for either as well, though. Crusader has terrible torso-pants combo, and I tried to roll a Demon's Skin chest and it turned out horribly. That crafter's remorse. MUH FLAWLESS ROYAL AMETHYST. Not going to waste an Emerald on pants yet. I did find myself some legendaries though instead of getting them from caches. A low rolled Mempo which I'm considering to reroll the socket into critical and running it for higher Torments where the Ruby is less meaningful. Got that terrible 2H sword that throws an axe when you use a melee and it rolled with INT. Salvaged it already since I didn't want to waste the same until my Wizard was 70, but isn't Spectral Blade the only melee attack Wizards and Witch Doctors have? Maybe Bats?

This week so far, I've found four legendary quivers on my Demon Hunter though, so thankfully they're fixing it. I don't think I could stand to get more of the same no-legendary effect stat sticks. I'm running an Emimei's Duffel with a Buriza spamming Bolas and it's working really well. Don't really want a different Quiver unless I get a Kridershot or it's the Hungering Arrow one. Maybe a nice roll with Multishot so I can breeze 3P Normal better.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-04-02

Guess I know what I'm rerolling. It's actually a downgrade for me at the moment, because losing 14% Disintegrate damage is more detrimental than gaining 8% Arcane damage.

So I was just in a rift. Right before we hit the rift guardian spawn, the guy with me says he just saw 3 Treasure Goblins. I thought he was full of pomegranate and exaggerating, but whatever not a big deal. We got the Rift Guardian to spawn, then beat him, and went where he saw the gobs.

It was one of those T blocks in the Kulle areas. On the left side of the T was 3 Treasure Goblins, practically on top of each other. On the right side, leading into a dead end...was another 8.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take a screenshot of the actual group....but it was insane. I got like 500k gold from them alone, and 6+ of every gem type. Only one Legendary, unfortunately, but over two inventories worth of Rares.

Crazy pomegranate. I wonder if this was a spawn bug or an actual rare occurrence or something like that.

Either way, was crazy.
