He's correct in using alley-oop. It surprisingly has huge SA break [same with quick/triple shot, whatever it's called] but most people don't have it on their keys. It's also surprisingly really good for PvP (ladder) as well.

Gravity grenade and stun grenade don't have that great SA break. Grav does some but definitely not stun. If you want to get all 9 pillars then you should stall the bishop out so that chemical warfare is available every time.

Does anybody know how expensive Lv. 30 costumes are in comparison with the Lv. 0 costumes?
And could somebody give me a webpage where I can see all costumes that exist in Dragon Nest?
Thank you.

My L-Grade sword made it to +7, but the price of enhancing it.

Oh god. So painful.

Thank you, but I'd still like to know how much the Lv. 30 costumes are in comparison with the Lv. 0 ones in the NA version.

 Spoiler

I'm having fun in Dragon Nest. I'm Lv. 31 now. Level cap in DN EU is 40. Cannot proceed with the main quest until I'm Lv. 32. Though I already know what will happen to Bishop Ignacio and Rose. Rolleyes
My first main in Korea was a Priest. This time I'm going for Paladin. Crusader maybe when 3rd job is out.
Too bad I cannot spend SP in my new active skills right on time because of the retarded ''requires you to have XX SP in the Cleric tree''.

Does anybody have a link to a very good Paladin>Crusader build?

Never seen a level 0 costume, but the event costumes or ones that come as packages are about $30. As for the builds, it sounds like y'all have T4, which is easy to deal with when you hit 50 since you can throw most of the 45 required SP into passives that are useful. I have never played any form of Priest though, so I can't make up a build. Try DNArmory? You can play with their skill calculator and look at other player builds that they've saved.

I haven't thankfully.

Now its 410 Gold each try going for +8. Not including the price of me buying jellies to protect it.

I'm just glad the damage boost from the sword is amazing at this point. Should surpass my Victor Sword/Gaunt combo once I get the spark for it tomorrow.

Dragon Nest Social Thread - Marksman Bryan - 2013-03-07

I wanted to use the ign I had on my swordsman, but apparently characters take a week to be deleted above a certain level.
It gets deleted tomorrow! I'll be going priest; I like the play style the best out of the ones you guys listed.

Is getting to 50 and obtaining decent gears playing solo feasible? I realize getting the really good equips and getting into the high level raids requires connections, so I'll just have to see how that plays out.

Are all the servers combined now? I think I read that somewhere. If not - is there a specific server I should create my character in?

1. Getting to 50 on a priest is slow because you kill so slowly. You want to get power leveled/leeched/pulled starting from as low as possible. Otherwise it's not that bad if you just stack quests and follow the main questline. Being in a guild and buying the guild NX set gives you an exp bonus as well

2. The gear you'll want to get is

Level 50 epic of corrupt + ancient totem (the combination depends on which priest you want), at +6 at least, with suffix II bonus.

You can get that eventually. You can farm it on your own in < 2 weeks easily.

As you said, the better gear you'll need to do the raids. People want (good) priests so it'll be easier for you if you're geared + you know what you're doing. If you want to skip all that stuff, you can go straight to the current best gear for priest but it'll cost a lot (ROUGHLY 20-25k gold without counting sparks, that adds another 4-5k gold just to spark it once. NX equivalent of that is about 80-100k nx). That gear is new though and will constantly be going down as time goes on. However enhancing it will take quite a bit of money.

3. Anything but levithia. The other 4 are merged and then they added the 5th one afterwards for who knows why. It'll get merged eventually.

Turns out I'm an idiot and I meant paladin, not priest.
Looking up skills and whatnot on DNarmory.

Paladins are even harder to level than priests Biggrin
I can powerlevel you whenever I'm online and not busy. I'm usually on my windwalker, lzar

Dragon Nest Social Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2013-03-08

Paladins are also way more sought after than priests are. Especially a good one.

You should decide which paladin you want as well now

Guardian: Focuses more on tanking and being more of a support player
Crusader: Focuses more on doing damage

I can help as well if you'd like, I made some alts I may as well get to working on. Trying to test out all classes...except Priests. I do not look forward to their speed.

Dragon Nest Social Thread - Marksman Bryan - 2013-03-08

I was already planning on going Guardian - the role of a tank has always interested me.

As I told wax (via VM) - I was planning on taking my time to level so I actually understand how the class works and I know how to use skills and combos for when I'm good enough to join parties.

My IGN gets released tonight! Glitter Can't wait!

Decide on full PvP, full PvE, or mixed (with an emphasis on which one, like 40/60 pvp/pve or 80/20 pvp/pve etc). Then I can give you a build.

A full PvP build has a lot less tanking power while a full PvE build can still hold their own in PvP. You'll just be at a slight (but able to overcome) disadvantage to others.

How important is PvP? Is it just something to do for fun when I'm bored? Or does it play a high importance role in getting/upgrading gears?
I was planning on full PvE; PvP has always frustrated me and so I won't be doing it for fun.

Not important at all.

The only thing from PvP worth something is Victor Weapons which you get by spending the points you get from Ladder Matches. Do 10 Ladder Matches weekly and you get points depending on your rating. Minimum you'll get a week is like 660~670 and the Ladder Weapons cost like 1560(off-hand) and 1920(main weapon).

People in ladder are usually just other PvE'ers doing it for the ladder points to get their Ladder Weapons. After that they may just do it for the 50 Epic Plate Pouch for 900 points.

In short, no reason to actually work your build around PvP as its more of a side thing.

Follow this build loosely when training. At 15 save your irine reset and use it at 50. This build may or may not be possible until exactly 50 (i.e. you may not be able to get some skills if you strictly follow the build as you level up. At 50 it'll all work out if you reset your points)

http://dnarmory.com/skill-calc?i=4-20-41-50#sa9fBpklbxgCWfFCipe6

Preference skills

Toughness: Can drop to 0 if you want

Block: Can be higher or lower if you want. You want at least 3-4 though. Having block at least 4 though on a guardian is essential for guardian force (divine barrier) until revamp. But more block is always good

Dive kick: Mostly for PvP, the only PvE use is aerial evasion --> dive kick which is meh, I'd rather use justice crash (falling angel)

Holy kick: I wouldn't bother

---------------------

Iron will: Get at least level 1, more is preference

Stance of faith: At least level 2, more is preference

Divine ascension/vengeance: preference

Divine punishment: more is preference but not recommended

Charitable zap: If you want to do slightly more damage, get it to 6, otherwise leave it at 1

Note: 2nd job can only have 91 points even though it says 94

Gear: Go full 7-set ancient totem. If you can afford it, get green dragon uniques. Sea dragon L-grade is more guaranteed after throwing money at it to be good while GDN unique can be a little money or a lot of money depending on your luck

Craft hat with adorned, top/bot vitality, everything else life giving. Weapons can be preference though. Get them to suffix II

Technique earring: Aura of healing
Technique necklace: Smite
Technique rings: Elemental aura, conviction aura (could get a provoke ring as well)

If you can't get the stats you want on those, just buy vital earrings/necklaces. Idk which rings.

Skill plates: Heart of glory, Aura of healing. Pick 2 of the following: Provoke, Smite, Armor break

Enhancement plates:

Vital + Life giving
Adorned + Sturdy
Windswept + Fierce
Lucky + Destructive

Other options: Brutal

For Spadow:
Here's the build I'm currently using on my crusader: http://dnarmory.com/skill-calc?i=4-20-42-50#AnkOOOInUsx3j1.Bit96 It has good DPS and enough in defensive skills for normal dungeons/nests, but would require having good gear to allow tanking in raids.
Alternatively you can lower some DPS skills to obtain iron will: http://dnarmory.com/skill-calc?i=4-20-42-50#AnGEX1UBC3QR4V9a2CK6
@Above: the max MP passive is something I personally find useless (I only ever have 1 to unlock the regen passive), the toughness passive is somewhat unnecessary since virtually all physical attacks can be blocked. Also it's a bad idea to overlevel stance of faith since it prevents you from jumping for its duration, meaning it can actually kill you if used at the wrong time. I've heard from a guardian friend that sacred hammering and shield charge are actually viable DPS you could put those points into, and/or you could get a point in divine ascension (the counter) because it gives you more agro.
