What the hell is this, a Nexon propaganda leaflet?
I'm not sure if you've logged onto the game in the last couple years.
Or really understand how businesses actually work, for that matter.
Or understand that hacking is exponential, hackers get braver and braver the longer nothing gets cracked down on. That's why it's so bad that they've ignored the game for 2 weeks.
You talk about the hackers being idealistic, but that's just what you are. You have some bizarre notion that GM's actually catch and ban real hackers.
These familiar hacks are easy to find if you go anywhere. Anywhere.
Same with the lolbroken weapons, they're NAMETAGGED for the love of God.
What I get from this is that you condone hacks or you're the height of naivete.

You're fucking forgetting one thing. Nexon does not care a single thing about their customers directly. Not a single thing. The only thing they want is money, which is logical, because they're a company. They were not made to made your free time fill up as nicely as possible, they are made to make as much money as possible. They will act in those ways, not in the ways to make the players as happy as possible.

Ofcourse, keeping the customers happy will indirectly lead to more cash, but in the last few years, GMS (or any other maple version outside BMS) hasn't had a loss of revenue. They are acting (from a purely business view) pretty good, to be where they are now.

Yes, but they're leaving themselves open to their game being destroyed from the inside out and getting a reputation for being hack-overrun, which is a slight deterrent for new legit customers (as well as new hackers, who won't be able to get a corner of the market).

Forgive me but I'll be rolling on the floor laughing.

Even a Private Server is patrolled one hundred times more than this game.

Seriously, how can she say such things with a straight face... or maybe she's ROFLing too, good thing the Internet does not give that away, huh?

Nexons pattern of communication with players is a bit like some teenagers communication with parents:
Say as little as possible, admit nothing, lie if necessary.

{With apologies to any teenagers reading this, who are of course nothing like that}

They're doing a rather poor job of making the most money possible. With a moderate investment in a few areas this game could be a lot bigger than it is and raking in even more dough than it already is. Being profitable is not the same as making as much money as possible, it's just making enough money to make your endeavors worthwhile.

Pretty simply if the game were better it would make more money - that is where Nexon fails as both a business and game manager.

Roflmao. Yes, these GMs are online 24/7 but they sure as f'uck are not sitting looking at the moniters. If they were, they'd see the tons of smegas of 255 atk gear and the other s'hit ton of people looking for hackers in the MOST POPULATED TRAINING SPOT IN THE GAME (LHC). This company is such a joke and they act like we are all oblivious. In reality, they are the oblivious ones and we are the people that actually care and actually pay attention to their god dam game.

Hime Wrote:We don't have in-house game devs. Mama Nexon controls all that.
Sounds like Korea does all the bug fixes and EVERYTHING for GMS. They test it and all that crap and then sends it to our team who adds it in per their directions. From my guess the team we have here only gives suggestions what we want, draws up things and a team for NEXON America in Korea does all the work and then sends it back to us to be patched in.

Familiar Hack - lorx - 2012-01-05

There's GM's on 24/7! They're all just playing facebook games instead of doing...anything?

Where did you find that? I want to directly look at it and laugh at this whole mess more.

Funny. I seem to recall having pointed this out. For years.

omg. that means Masteria was never created in America. It is now a Korean rendition of america!

That's a bit different. The Masteria concepts & concept art was definitely created in America (NxProse, etc.) but I would assume most of the actual map design & coding was sent over to Korea.

Also, the storyline and quests were obviously created here, etc etc. - basically Nexon America has a lot of input there.

I believe that yeah we can draw up and piece things together say what we want, then it's up to Korea to do it all.
