That's what you think, but considering 10k NX for a rebirth is chump change when compared to the potential system and how broken that is, people will easily cough up the money just to be more broken. Loose Wrote:Isn't the minimum level to use it 120? Yes, but rebirthing right at 120 doesn't net you anything positive. All you'd get is three 4th job skills at level 1. It's better to either hit 200 (for maximum HP/MP/SP gain) or max out all the main 4th job skills before rebirthing. But, if this makes it to the live JMS server then it is a very real possibility that it would spread to other versions. Except for KMS because they're too hardcore to have another version's custom content in their version. Yeah, instead, KMS will just create their own variation of it in due time, and depending on how long that takes will depend on if GMS gets the JMS version or the KMS variant. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-20 Question is, if KMS made a system like this would it be better or worst? They did give us potential after all. And a cash shop item that stops stuff from being blown up. And MSEA? gave us the cash shop item that stops slots from being taken. Neo Tokyo -> Neo City JMS -> KMS Rebirth System -> Butchered Rebirth System JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-20 Yeah, but, ungodly potential system! They could create all new areas based around everyone and their mother using the rebirth system. Actually, a better question. How do you butcher this exactly? Beyond the Skill UI thingy it is not like JMS has put a lot of hard work in it yet. Skills keep X amount of SP instead of what they were at at rebirth, HP and MP are reset, less passive skills are carried over, you only keep Y amount of skills, etc. While it's true that it's rather hard to butcher due to what we have access to at the moment, you can do some damage by attacking the main source. Since in JMS, you keep majority of your skills and whatnot, like 98% of them it seems due to certain passives, you can easily just alter that number from 98% to like 50% or "Only keep 1st/2nd/3rd/4th job skills", instead of all of them. You are right though that KMS did create the most broken system ever to be released in Maple, aka Potential System. I highly doubt nothing will ever be more broken than that until we see another system that lets you get to 100k+ range with less effort. Comment on potential system:
Spoiler
JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - Lozmaster - 2011-05-20 I agree. Rebirthing is much worse game balance wise than potential. Yes, potential requires large amounts of NX to make the highest DPS for your class. Rebirth throws everything that isn't a shadower/hero/Pala combo into forever useless territory. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - Dark Link - 2011-05-20 I guess it really depends though. I can see it as this way. Short end of the stick: Rebirth is more broken. Long end of the stick: Potential is more broken. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-20 Potential is more broken, Rebirth is more game breaking. There is a difference. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - Dark Link - 2011-05-20 MetaSeraphim Wrote:Potential is more broken, Rebirth is more game breaking. There is a difference. I dunno about that. Potential can be classified into both categories due to how NexonKR set it up in Big Bang and in Chaos with the whole "Boss damage % / Ignore PDR/MDR stacking" ordeal. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-20 I am talking about the game as it is defined by by unique classes with unique skills. I've always viewed broken as super duper damage, and game breaking as something that breaks how the game is set up. Hacking is game breaking for example. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MuscleWizard - 2011-05-20 Is Aran into Bowmaster possible? Because all I have to say, is Combo Drain, incredibly spammable Combo Tempest, Combo Barrier, Combo Critical, BODY PRESSURE, Combat Step, and MW30 if you so desire. Seriously, with how fast hurricane shoots, you'd be racking up combo like no tomorrow, with crit, you'll be at 100% critical. That is, if combo goes up when you hit with a non-polearm Archer Critical: +40% crit rate Sharp Eyes: +20% crit rate +35% max critical damage 60% Aran: Combo Crit: +20% Crit Rate, +3% crit per 10 combo, Max Stacks: 10 50% at 100 combo 110% crit rate. And with combo drain you'll constantly be healing. God help us if smart Knockback works with a bow. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MuscleWizard - 2011-05-20 Good to know. Hmm, Paladin into a Shad? Guardian = 42% block rate, Shadow Shifter = 47% block rate, (That's with combat orders) 89% chance to not take damage sounds kinda' sweet, and then we can't forget the dual shield mastery for +300% defense total. And for when you do get hit, there's always stance, achilles, divine shield, meso guard, and lets not forget all that avoidability. That's pretty much godmode. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - TKWizard - 2011-05-20 @ Nunnnuko Nun Nuko Mention of the potential for early termination of the public test server yesterday. I am sorry, in steep, open test 12:00 today I will present to the end. For more information, thank you wait for the announcement you for your website. Yay, pomegranate google translate BUT, an EARLY CLOSURE MEANS THAT IT WILL MOST DEFINITELY NOT BE IMPLEMENTED! JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MuscleWizard - 2011-05-20 Oh good, if they're not implementing it, that's a bit of a relief. It's just too broken. JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - TKWizard - 2011-05-20 Plenty of twitter comments from Nunnnuko. "Implementation of the Rebirth system is not considered at this stage, the information we implemented to test this as I think I will be completely different." Chances are that we may see this in a different style. http://twitter.com/#!/Nunnnuko JapanMS - Open-To-All Test Server; May 16th ~ 30th - MetaSeraphim - 2011-05-20 Seems interesting what they'll do with it. |
