What are you playing? - Olsi - 2011-06-17 Berzerk Wrote:Just beat Torchlight. Easily one of the best purchases I've ever made in the Xbox live Arcade. Can't wait until the summer arcade games come out. From Dust looks amazing, Fruit Ninja Kinect looks fun as hell and Insanely Twisted Planet is pretty interesting. I wanted to get that today! Anyway yesterday i got magic the gathering 2012 and im having fun with it but still a super noob .
What are you playing? - Piggy 2.0 - 2011-06-17 Turns out my copy of spyro 3 is glitched, as I can't get one of the eggs after fulfilling the requirement. FOREVER 99%. Until I shell out for an unglitched copy, that is... What are you playing? - JPTheMonkey - 2011-06-18 I feel so late for this, but I just learned a couple weeks back that Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie were on the XBOX Live Arcade, checked my money, got them a few days ago. I'd play them on my N64, but my mom thought a good place for my N64 was in the shed (I live in Louisiana, humid as hell here) and in a 5 year old rice cooker box thing. Oh, and I lost the AV plugs for it after finding them right before moving a couple years ago. Ah well, having lots of fun on Tooie after almost 100%'ing Kazooie (got fed up with Rust Bucket Bay and decided to stop collecting Notes there, and can't find the last Jiggy from Springtime Click-Clock Wood). Tooie is hard...took me half an hour to get Ordnance Storage finished and so many mini-games :f6:. Witchyworld was just plain annoying and Jolly Roger Bay is annoying because swimming controls are reversed from Kazooie and Kazooie-Torpedo has the same controls as in Kazooie (for swimming) so constantly alternating controls gets annoying. Doing Terrydactylland now, before heading back to Jolly Roger Bay for the 2 Jiggys I skipped after being annoyed for long enough. What are you playing? - Olsi - 2011-06-18 More magic! Getting better liking the blue deck a lot, me and my frien are thinking about what to get, diablo 2 or torchlight what do you guys think? What are you playing? - Sarah - 2011-06-18 I downloaded that Magic game free from the PS+ package and promptly deleted it. What a load of crap. What are you playing? - Rob - 2011-06-18 I'm playing Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection for the PSP. Contrary to what I, and probably Sarah, thought, the remake is pretty good. The music arrangements are totally fantastic and the game has aged damn well. Except for the dialogues. FREAKING CECIL HAS LESS FLUENCY THAN A LOG. It feels so unrealistic. I would've loved if they had done a little touch up in the dialogues. It feels too blunt sometimes. What are you playing? - Raph589 - 2011-06-18 I started over my tales of symphonia file(the good gamecube game, not the crappy wii one). I managed to catch up to where I was in 2 days when it took me about 3 weeks the first time I played it quite some times ago. This game is awesome =O What are you playing? - Twilight - 2011-06-21 I think i'm going to buy another copy of FFX. Miss that game so damn much. What are you playing? - NoJobNoRules - 2011-06-21 Currently playing Machinarium, a point and click puzzle-solving indie title, when I have some downtime. I have about 7 games sitting on Steam waiting to be played right now thanks to 2 different bundles. I'd also like to get back into Spiral Knights as I haven't played it since it was in Beta a while back. *sigh* So many games. What are you playing? - ChaosCorpse - 2011-06-21 Been fairly busy, yet not accomplishing a whole lot at the same time. As for what I've done gaming-wise recently, this about sums it up. Chrono Trigger - Port came out on Wii-ware, so I went and bought it yet again. Currently pre-Black Omen. Terraria - One of the games I traded all of my MS currency for from a friend. I managed to really get into it and made my own server for it since aforementioned friend bought it as well and wanted to duo stuff (also, first time running a server so there was that). Built up our main world with quite a few extras for farming supplies since in all likelihood, updates will turn the current world into a relic before long. Back to the Future: The Game - Another one that friend bought me. And yeah, point and click adventure game... so what? I break from the usual for an interesting/funny story isn't a bad thing. Lume - Looked interesting so I had my friend buy this one as well. I was wrong to buy it. It's a flash game that's only length is determined by one puzzle that has no real clues how to solve. Seems like it might become episodic, but it is WAY to short for something that you have to pay for. TF2 - Sameold sameold. Spiral Knights - Went in for TF2 hat, found it interesting, but I'm betting getting beyond Tier 2 will require the real world purchase of Energy, so I'll likely be dropping it in a few days. Ar Tonelico - Tried to go back and finish this with the rest of my GUST stockpile, but my perfectionist aspects are holding me back. Dragon Quest 9 - Beat the game and really enjoyed it, but then I wanted to do the post game stuff and had a really frustrating time at it. I just needed certain enemies and grottoes, but it took nearly 6 weeks of diving until I finally got a 50+ grotto with what I needed. I was hoping on making story characters my mains, but looking at how much grinding that would be needed to make them on par with my current party kinda puts a damper on that idea. And I STILL haven't found any Metal King Slimes =(. Dragon Quest 4 - Bought this a short while back and I enjoy the style... but I really didn't like how you had to do the first 10 levels or so Over and OVER with all the separate parties before they finally came together. I can understand getting back-story, but having to wait over 10 hours before getting into your standard party knowing was a bit much. I think it could have been arranged somewhat differently so as to not feel like it was dragging on; maybe parallel gear sets, more diversity of early level monsters; I dunno. That said, I am still at the point where one party member has yet to rejoin the group, so I can't say what my overall impression will be at this point. Radiant Historia - Lucked out with a 6 month stockpile of coins, so I manged to buy this game with pennies. Kinda wish they had diagonal movement sprites, but that's just a minor gripe. So far I'm impressed by the premise of this game. Even moreso since I have not heard a single spoiler on it. I do see some lingering ideas and themes that branch from Radiata Stories, but so far I'm not really seeing a "spiritual sequel". When I think that, it seems more like Dark Cloud -> Rogue Galaxy. Although I suppose this connection is really more theme oriented than gameplay oriented. Another minor gripe would be having to traipse through enemies whenever repeating timelines. The damage never seems to become inconsequential, so it just becomes tedious; especially when experimenting on where to go. Also accidentally choosing a node that throws you into a boss battle right away. Ghost Trick - For a recent Capcom game, I'm glad they were at least subtle on hinting at a sequel this time. That's had me raging a fair bit lately. But seriously, this game was amazing from my view. Beautify drawn, unexpected twists, vibrant characters. I wish there were more like this out these days. I may replay it not too far out since there were several things that left me curious as to whether or not they had a purpose. That's basically it from my front; PS2 has been sitting there for a while, but I hope to get back to it more after the move is over. What are you playing? - Doctor Omega - 2011-06-21 I just bought the one of the newest XBLA games called Outland. It is completely, 100%, grade-A badass. Ubisoft (and Housemarque) has done it again. It is a Super Metroid-style sidescroller with an amazing, coordination-testing twist. There are these things called alignments, and there are two: Light (blue) or dark (red). Strategically placed all over every stage, there are energy bolts that pose as the game's primary obstacle. They either shoot light or dark energy, and your character can change colors at will, absorbing the color you currently are, and taking damage from the one you're not. Upon grabbing both transformations, the game gets extremely hard. Bosses and obstacles mix light and dark, making you have to change colors midair, in Launch Pads, and pretty much every second. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of sidescrolling action. 10/10 in my book. What are you playing? - Sarah - 2011-06-21 So far in 2011 I've beat... What are you playing? - Five Second Pose - 2011-06-22 I was playing Megaman Battle Network 5 : Team Protoman (borrowed it from Purp), but then I came across Dominerds in the Cosmoman liberation mission and promptly returned the game to Purp. XD What are you playing? - Piggy 2.0 - 2011-06-22 Been playing a loooot of DFO lately. Capped my soul reaper and I'm busy getting him some of the best equips in the game (for now). Boy, Nocturne sure was mad after I fired it up after a week of not playing. Promptly died 3 times in a row, without even taking a single turn. I need incentive TO play it, not to continue not playing it. I've played Radiata Stories twice and both times I've only completed the human side and shelved it before going down the non-human path even though I want to.
