Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Raph589 - 2014-03-29 Do the things (events, cursed chest, exploration) you do in adventure mode count for the "campaign" achievements? Sometimes it seems they do and sometimes they don't. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-29 Shidoshi Wrote:I've come to the conclusion that having movespeed in any of your items is a waste of a primary stats line, the best thing to do is to use 50 paragon points on move speed, which are equal to about 250 main stat, and reroll the move speed on your items to things that are almost certainly worth more than 12*5 main stat. A lot of people have been suggesting Blizzard to make Movement Speed a 2ndary stat since it's going to be 100% wasted once you get to that point and re-rolling legendaries is stupid costly. Raph589 Wrote:Do the things (events, cursed chest, exploration) you do in adventure mode count for the "campaign" achievements? Sometimes it seems they do and sometimes they don't. So far everything I've done in Adventure mode has counted for Campaign achievements, including the Co-op ones. Not sure what would be omitted. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2014-03-29 ![]() Broke 7,000 int today! Also, up to +28% damage to my locust swarm as well as +30% poison damage. pop piranhas, and drop locust swarm down, and everything fucking MELTS. Also, still spamming my blood shards on hats to try and get a jeram or a quetzalcoatl. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Razmos - 2014-03-29 Just started levelling my Witch Doctor from 60-70 and clearing Act V. I can really see the appeal of Creeping Death, that pomegranate is crazy. I got a Skorn weapon pretty quickly, and the added bleed damage is useful. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Polantaris - 2014-03-29 There's a bug with Akarat's Champion where it sometimes breaks your character instead of reviving you. Might have something to do with Frozen. I was fighting a pack, Frozen froze me, I was killed while Frozen but I had Akarat's Champion activated, which gives your all your health back if you should die while it's active. It gave me all of my health back, but my character broke and I couldn't do anything. I wasn't frozen still, all my input broke. Then, I died again, because I couldn't do anything, and now the game doesn't realize I'm dead and I'm stuck. Game's completely broken, I can't do anything except restart.... Literally 20 seconds after getting the below Set item too. Way to ruin a good mood, game.

Last time it happened i hit level 70 while a graveyard haha I shoulda ss'd it. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Polantaris - 2014-03-29 dowie Wrote:It 's a bug with dot damage as far as I know. Ooohhh okay that makes sense, since Frozen does DOT before it freezes you (which is so dumb, that affix is pure bs). Badly need one of those legendaries that makes you immune to cold damage... Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2014-03-29 illusionist frozen pulse arcane enchanted jailer pineapple everything Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - dowie - 2014-03-29 switch illusionist with horde >;3 I got a crusader amulet that makes mob jump in the air and raise their weapons when you use champion of akarat . It was halcyon something I'll ss it later. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Razmos - 2014-03-30 The Europe server is suffering from some seriously bad lag spikes, it's making the game impossible to play. I haven't seen it this bad since the games launch. The forums are awash with "my HC character died because of lag", there is even a tribute to fallen HC characters, lol. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-30 League is also suffering from server problems. Sounds like another DDoS attack to me. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2014-03-30 Gargantuan HP with Midnight Feast (+50% damage) and Zombie Handler (+20% HP)

I have yet to test this, but I shall when I have some free time edit: damage is less than garg, but it lives pretty much forever Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Justin - 2014-03-31 ![]() HNNNNGGGG Ive been waiting for this for so long! Welcome back Krider ;_; I am so going to change that % area damage into 10% total damage. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-31 JoeTang CLEARLY YOU NEED TO ABUSE MORE!
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - IllegallySane - 2014-03-31 So finally got to finishing Act 5. Ended at level 67, which isn't the worst considering I got no way to twink out my gear. A very nice way to end the Campaign mode. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Justin - 2014-03-31 They haven't acknowledged the whole switching difficulties for caches thing, so be sure to open them on at least torment 1 for imperial gems! Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2014-03-31 Now that my Crusader is max level, here are my overall thoughts: The damage feels a bit weak at end game, especially compared to Dark Link's Entropy, WHICH IS BROKEN ABUSING YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO USE PURE SPENDER A lot of skills lack proper scaling. Basically anything that heals is a flat amount and isn't affected by Life on Hit, Life per Second, Life on Kill, or Health Globe Bonus. The exceptions are the passive Wrathful that takes 1% of Health Globe Bonus, and one rune on Blessed Shield that increases your Life per Second by 5% which is nothing. It's pretty hugely detrimental to the usefulness of a lot of these skills. I think Wrathful heal's too much to begin with though. It's something like 825 + 1%/Wrath, which flat out beats every other skill except Sweep Attack's Holy Shock which is around 2000/target. Punish - Rebirth, Smite - Reaping, and Justice - Holy Bolt definitely need to be able to scale to be worthwhile. The amount they heal isn't that great, especially compared to max Paragon Life on Hit (around 4k) or even one piece of gear, which is usually around 2k. Rebirth is something like 1600/2s when you Block. Not sure if it stacks, but that would help. There's a passive that gives 12395 when you block though so...? Which also doesn't scale with gear. The most dangerous damage is typically unblockable to begin with though. Reaping stacks up to 4 times and is around 1600/2s again, you'd need a decent amount of IAS with a 1H even to meet the max stacks. Seems like it would be okay if you could maintain max stacks while spending, but you can't with the new limitations on IAS from gear. Holy Bolt is just terrible, healing around 1600-2100 when you hit an enemy. It's hardly noticeable on myself when I don't even reach 300k HP, and Link's running nearly 600k. Then there's all the dedicated defensives like Consecrate, or Law of Hope. It makes healing builds pretty useless, Monk is infinitely better at this. The other things I noted are there's a distinct lack of elemental diversity. There's 4 fire generators (of which one is on Punish and the other 3 are on Slash) and 3 fire spenders when you don't include the cooldown skills. I think there's 3 more fire with cooldown and Akarat's Champion. To make matters worse, Sweep Attack's fire rune is bugged and doesn't deal its DOT properly. There's one ice spender for some reason. There's only one lightning generator and like six spenders. I really enjoy Smite for some reason. I'd like Slash more if it were an actual slashing animation instead of a thrust which makes sense. Punish is a bit on the short side for duration, and lacks range. It isn't too great for utility for me thus far, though Roar + Quill Rats is insane. Justice is baaaaad. Spenders seem okay, though there are a few bad runes in there that just don't make sense why anyone would ever want them. Shield Bash - One on One or Blessed Shield - Piercing Shield have negative synergy with themselves. AOE skills that force enemies away from their attack path don't make sense. I don't believe the Crusader has any dedicated 1v1 spenders either, except a different Shield Bash rune. Otherwise, Shield Bash's charge is awesome. Shattered Shield, Shield Cross, and Pound are all pretty neat for their niches. Sweep Attack's animation is really nice, though the element distribution is wrong. Fire, Physicalx3, Cold? Holy Shock is Physical? Gathering Sweep is fun, and I hope to get a Golden Flense one day. Blessed Hammers lack a bit of power since they're so cheap, but they really shred low difficulty well. Blessed Shield makes me feel free and democratic. Fist of the Heaven's I've used the least. I'll need to try it some more. I've also used Heaven's Fury - Fires of Heaven and it's amazing seeing 10m crits. Really expensive though. Phalanx is terrible so far. Nothing else in the spammable department to talk about. Haven't really messed a lot of with the CD skills. I take Shield Glare, Judgment, Law of Valor, and Provoke. Would like to be able to take Steed Charge, Consecrate, or Falling Sword but the utility on those other ones are too good to pass up. The skill I enjoy the most though is Judgment - Resolved. +80% Critical Chance for 6 seconds every 20 seconds is pretty broken. Makes group play bursting bosses probably too good, especially with Law of Valor - Critical for its +100% Critical Damage. Trying to imagine 3 or 4 Crusaders running this, all spec'ing for 20% crit chance and full crit damage. Probably going to get nerfed because of this though unless elite CC resistance prevents the critical buff as well. ALSO pineapple YOU LINK I SEE LOTS OF MARQUISE IN THERE. Want to give me Malthael quest tomorrow so I can get my legendary and hopefully some Reaper's Fear? Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Polantaris - 2014-03-31 JoeTang Wrote:A lot of skills lack proper scaling.I completely agree, and it's not even just the healing skills that need better scaling. A lot of the damage skills have pathetic damage output, especially with their runes. A lot of runes add terrible 20% Weapon Damage extras, while other classes will get Runes that add massive effects ALONG with 50+% additional to whatever it did before, if not way more. Most of the skills have runes that seem to do just about nothing. A good example is Fist of the Heavens. All of the lightning runes, except the one I describe below, and the Holy one....what do they do that's different from the original skill? They don't seem to do anything that was worth having a rune for. JoeTang Wrote:I don't believe the Crusader has any dedicated 1v1 spenders either, except a different Shield Bash rune. The only Crusader skill that's a decent 1v1 spender (I assume by spender you mean Wrath usage with no CD) is Fist of the Heavens with the rune that makes an electric storm appear where you attack, and multiple spark between each other. If you shoot multiple in the same location, and the mob doesn't move, or you put multiple in a decent catch-all grid (for a moving mob), it does some really nice damage. But it's really easily, and frequently inadvertently, countered. Sometimes mobs just run around for no reason, and if you use Shield Glare with the Charming Rune they just circle around you making it overall wasted if you use Glare after you use Fist, and sometimes after too. The only other 1v1 I can think of is Heaven's Fury with the last rune. It turns it into a no-CD light beam from you for 40 Wrath. It does decent damage, but it costs so much Wrath that it doesn't output enough damage for the cost in my opinion. JoeTang Wrote:Phalanx is terrible so far.Phalanx Bodyguards is basically the only decent one, but it comes with a cooldown that's rather long for the effect. It's a decent meat-shield when it works, but often the mobs just ignore them until it's way too late. JoeTang Wrote:Blessed Hammers lack a bit of power since they're so cheap, but they really shred low difficulty well.Blessed Hammers is a very nice skill before about 55. Once you start getting close to 70 they lose all functionality. I'm not sure why, I found myself using them less and less and the times I did use them I did nothing notable with them. I remember the first Cursed Chest I ran into I soloed exclusively with Blessed Hammers, then one at 67 I didn't kill a single mob after using all my Wrath with them. I might be exaggerating a little, but it certainly felt like I wasted all of my Wrath for no reason. I don't know what they were thinking with Justice either. That skill is just plain terrible. There were several others that I couldn't understand the point of them, either, either because a rune on another ability did the same exact thing, or just because the effect seemed pretty pointless to use an entire skill slot on, I don't remember. A lot of the Laws need effects that work outside of Empowering them, too, because they're way too mediocre for a 5-second effect / 45-second cooldown. Overall I agree with your general synopsis of the class. I heard it was really overpowered in Beta, so I suspect they may have done a Nexon and overly nerfed it into the ground instead of balancing it properly. |
