Technically, yes. But that's not always the best answer, especially if you're support or you're an AP-heavy champion.
Play with the champion's strengths, and help them excel at it. Do not try to shore up on stats that they have little to no use for.

Eh, I look at it as being 1-2 extra autoattacks that you can survive or a single level 1 skill. Comparatively, 7 AD lets you last hit with a wider window, 15 AP lets you farm minion waves more easily if you're pushing mid, etc. I didn't mean that the bonus itself was useless, I meant that the bonus compared to other Quints seems weak. I'd rather use runes for things hard to itemize for (MSPD, ARPEN, etc). At any rate, I forgot about the 2 rune pages thing. Makes sense there.

TIL: Champions that didn't receive enemy champion damage or CC will still give up their bounty if an enemy champion assists the source of the damage.
Examples:
-- Champion X duels against Champion Y. Champion X dies and Y gets the kill credit. (control case)
-- Champion X attacks the turret by himself and dies. X gets executed.
-- Champion X attacks the turret by himself. Champion Y buffs the turret. X dies, and Y gets the kill credit.
-- Champion X realizes that he cannot get out of his predicament, and determines that getting executed is his best course of action. An oblivious Sona casts her MS aura, speeding up nearby minions. Some of those minions attacked X as he dived the enemy turret and gets killed. Sona gets the kill credit.

Finished my pre-ranked matches. Starting out in bronze at [COLOR="#996600"]1260 rating. I hope that's a high enough starting point that I can skirt the upper edge of elo hell and avoid most of the trolls/kiddies. The wins are all as Skarner, 1 loss as Skarner and 1 loss as Malzahar (I crushed Annie in mid, but top fed Akali and our jungler wasn't able to do enough to push things in our favor). 4 / 2 so far - I can live with that. Just wanted to get my initial rating before getting underway for a few months for my ship's winter cruise.[/COLOR]
