But yea.. got bored today so for first time in years i KSed without any other reason than annoying hackers, Was actually quite amusing lol, seeing 150+ mercedes having the player control of a drunk monkey but hitting so god dam low because they havent put any effort into their chars. I even won and they ended up leaving the channel +1 Legits Familiar Hack - CarrionCrow - 2012-01-04 SaptaZapta Wrote:I'll believe it when I see it.The only time I ever saw a GM outside of one of their stupid events was when I dared Tiara to show that they had GM accounts. It was in a ticket about a wedding issue I think. Familiar Hack - KhainiWest - 2012-01-04 Durex Wrote:lol. One can wish. YOU CAN GET BANNED FOR KSING HACKERS, GOD HAVENT YOU READ THE TOS??? ...Seriously it is, what a ridiculous rule LOL Familiar Hack - Foxino - 2012-01-04 KhainiWest Wrote:YOU CAN GET BANNED FOR KSING HACKERS, GOD HAVENT YOU READ THE TOS??? Their reaction was soooo worth it! I don't think i would care if i did get banned. The state this game is in atm. would be a blessing. EDIT- OH AND DIDNT YOU KNOW! ITS A .WZ EDIT NO HAX. TOTALLY LEGIT BRO Familiar Hack - ¬Rob - 2012-01-04 Durex Wrote:Their reaction was soooo worth it!Bet you got a firewall against it anyway. Hmm, since PvP is getting a little boring, I think I'll be leveling my BaM via MP/GT. No hackers when I only go with friends @MP.
Familiar Hack - Seizing - 2012-01-05 My RL friend started leeching from a hacker. His reasoning was that he isn't legit anyways cause he bought the GM scrolls in MTS when they were sell-able. He also tried to get me to do it since I bought the GM scrolls from MTS too. -_- Needless to say, I won't do it. Familiar Hack - Jerry-Boyle - 2012-01-05 Any reports that are reliable saying familiar hackers are being banned slowly? I've been brainstorming that they are testing in-game for a fix which may explain why Khaini and Scania crashed yesterday and had glitched guilds/buddy lists :o Familiar Hack - Mazz - 2012-01-05 Jerry-Boyle Wrote:Any reports that are reliable saying familiar hackers are being banned slowly? They're aware it exists, and Hime said they'd be testing things in order to try and fix it. She didn't mention any punishment. Khaini and Scania could be crashing because people are trying to dupe all the 255 ATT items, but I don't play there so that's just a guess. I cant stay on more than a few minutes before someone crashes the map...it is getting very annoying. Familiar Hack - CarrionCrow - 2012-01-05 Chameleonic Wrote:I'm surprised more people arent raging about getting dc'd in the FM. Probably because trying to make mesos at a time like this is pretty pointless. Familiar Hack - Chameleonic - 2012-01-05 Well I'd prefer to get something for it instead of dropping items to make room... Familiar Hack - warustar - 2012-01-05 I might be closed minded for not reading the majority of replies, but I'm just going to say what I have to say.. Nexon, in my opinion, truly cares for players and the sake of the game, especially in the case of what's going on. They've been on break, and quite frankly; whether the hack lasted a week, or a day, it's still just as bad. If they addressed it a long time ago, or now, we're still affected by it either way. If you, as an employee or even head of a corporation, on vacation, you would exemplify the same kind of behavior and relax for the time you have off. This isn't really anything new. There's always a new exploit, and even though they're different, it's all the same to me. Banning a plethora (or most of the Maple population..) of players or rolling them back wouldn't be smart, thinking from a business-perspective, because it would afflict the 'legit' players who spend money and time on Maple. You can go ahead and disregard this claim and call it stupid, but if Nexon didn't care, they wouldn't bother giving us the extra events that we're getting now (which I really appreciate). It's funny how people think that just because this exploit is merely an edited .wz file, the GMs wouldn't catch and ban them. They can detect "off" or abnormal signals in the game, such as mass killing; it's not like they go to each map stalking players, invisibly. Massive amounts of people have been banned, it's just that the majority of the hackers don't want to admit it because they're in denial about being caught and banned as well; they're molding this new exploit into a virtual paradise that fulfills their Maple needs. You just have to look around and see for yourself. The same kind of idealism goes for the item dups and hacks. The economy really isn't anything new to me in particular, from a player's point of view. In fact, essentially, most games have this kind of economy, and there will always be someone to corrupt it in some kind of way. Supply and demands for various items are always fluctuating, and over time, those demands will override the hacks and exploits. This is basically why I could care less about this hacking. We're most likely, all, going to end up in the same spot; banned or not banned; whether you're a hacker, or not a hacker. Familiar Hack - Clamors - 2012-01-05 warustar Wrote:I might be closed minded for not reading the majority of replies, but I'm just going to say what I have to say.. I agree with your viewpoint on the duping of items...it's unavoidable no matter what...however to say that the employees and head of the company should "enjoy their time off" and not do anything until they get back...well, let me throw this scenario out there because it's practically the same thing: If you were the owner of your own jewelry store, and you were on vacation but still had ways to keep tabs on your store, and found out that while you were on vacation someone was robbing your store and setting it on fire when they were done, would you just say "oh, I'll deal with it after my vacation" or would you try and do something about it even while you were on vacation? Although it sounds farfetched, in a way it's the same situation...at some point, a majority of the players who generate a heavy portion of nexon's revenue for maple story are just going to throw their arms up and leave. Familiar Hack - SaptaZapta - 2012-01-05 warustar Wrote:- snip standard Nexon apologist spiel - There is zero justification for the entire Maple team going on two weeks' vacation while the game is up and running and tens (hundreds?) of thousands of players are on. Especially when the game is scheduled to run a whole bunch of events, many of them untested, to keep the customers playing while the team is on vacation. Every normal corporation that's still doing business during the holidays, has some employees working at that time. Might have to pay them extra, might threaten them with dismissal if they refuse, but the bottom line is: you do not leave the shop open and unattended. What do you think would happen if Walmart went on vacation and left their stores open? That is exactly what is happening to GMS now. If they were here, and if they were on top of things (like, you know, actually reading forums, tickets, hanging around in the game looking at smegas, maybe spying in hacker sites), they could have stopped all these disasters from happening. When things are allowed to go on for weeks... of course there's no painless way to fix it now. And it's doubtful there's a painful way, either. And the worst of it is, last year they also went on vacation and a bad exploit surfaced which was "fixed" in a most painful and ineffective way. You'd think they'd learn a lesson. But no. Paying someone holiday pay to keep tabs on the game is just too much. Familiar Hack - Takebacker - 2012-01-05 Quote:If you, as an employee or even head of a corporation, on vacation, you would exemplify the same kind of behavior and relax for the time you have off. Speak for yourself. I'm quite sure a series of glitches/bugs/exploits/hacks being released that has the potential to destroy your paying customer base would be enough to forgo your relaxation if it means saving your ass from having to go to a recruitment office a few weeks down the line. They might make hundreds, thousands of dollars off 255 att dupes through MTS, but that shouldn't mean the rest of the game should suffer. Familiar Hack - Combattente - 2012-01-05 Don't know if anyone already posted. Hime Wrote:Yes, it is an issue we are working on resolving. As for the consequences that have already happened and are currently happening I'm looking and working towards an action plan to minimize its current impact until we have a fix. I'll keep everybody posted once I have some solid details. Thank you. Sage goes in all fields. What the hell is this, a Nexon propaganda leaflet? I'm not sure if you've logged onto the game in the last couple years. Or really understand how businesses actually work, for that matter. Or understand that hacking is exponential, hackers get braver and braver the longer nothing gets cracked down on. That's why it's so bad that they've ignored the game for 2 weeks. You talk about the hackers being idealistic, but that's just what you are. You have some bizarre notion that GM's actually catch and ban real hackers. These familiar hacks are easy to find if you go anywhere. Anywhere. Same with the lolbroken weapons, they're NAMETAGGED for the love of God. What I get from this is that you condone hacks or you're the height of naivete. |
