I'm not sure what the rage is about. Unless it has been confirmed that it doesn't drop anything ever and the only way to get the equips is via NX, then I don't see how this differs from other bosses. I will use Visitor PQ as my example, it took me many attempts to get the almost-full set and I still don't have the hat, other examples with the same mechanic include Balrog and RA bosses. I think HT, Zakum, CPB can be included and I suppose the list goes on.
I retract and credit you if the two conditions stated become the case, but your righteous fury might be a bit misplaced this time around.

While true, I would not put it past Nexon to have Gollux follow the same path as Chaos RA and Evo Emp in where they've had bugged / broken drop tables for months, and instead just add the drops to some type of NX item.

Ended up with 253 blue coins and 26 green coins (green's mostly from the quests) after 3 runs. I was too chicken to see if it would let me forfeit again and go with purple keys, which it will, it just doesn't show up as an option if you have broken keys.
I think you have to go in in order to reset the shop, like with Aswan, I was only able to buy one of the scrolls. It's rather nice that they're selling no booms, as well as the 150 ring/earring in the shop.

That reminds me, the 90% 1 attack armor scrolls, that explode on fail... If you have lv 100 dilligence, does it mean you have a reliable 100% armor attack scroll source?

I don't know, it might fall under the category of special scrolls... but it does give us a large sample size with which we can test. They're easy to get and I'm sure there's plenty of people with 100 Dilligence.

Cleared it on what I guess is easy. It didn't give me any options when I entered. Also the 5 death counter got stuck at 1, but I did lose exp when the head killed me :/ (died about 6-7 times cause it has so many effective 1hkos and there's nowhere to rebuff).
Apparently I'm an idiot, cause I missed the final loot. What are you supposed to do, click the gem when you're in the room after this?
The cheapest earrings are 100 charm for 10 green coins, might be another OK way to farm charm.
It won't let me in again either - first time in the game crashed, second time as above. Both after midnight PST.

You click the NPC until cut scene ends. It then transports you back to chest map. Jump onto the platform below purple "heart" and click it. The heart is a box for loot.
I barely had time to kill Gollux once before reset, then did 2 runs + 1 kill after.
Loot: Pendant then belt + 166 blue and 35 green coins
BTW: The scroll appears to be only stocked 1 per day so make sure you get them if you plan to use them.
Any idea what the purple keys are for? Higher difficulties maybe?

I got the impression (via dropping my 3rd red one) that you can use them to enter as well - when you try to go in it offers to let you in using a purple key.
I collected 5 purple keys on 2 runs, and you get 3 red for free, so it makes me wonder if you're supposed to be able to do more than 2 runs a day.

On a more serious note, the addition of these easy mode bosses was a pretty good idea on Nexon's part, this was actually pretty fun to do. (Pirate Nova Cape in the SS btw, I dunno how rare they are from easy mode considering that was my first go at it)
