Shyvana's ganking abilities are pretty poor. Her ganks only work well if the victim is really pushed, or your teammate has a hard CC or two up their asses. Or tons of slows xD

[COLOR="#cc8899"]This. It's fairly common to take Exhaust on Shyvana to better enable ganks. It's also worth noting that she's primarily used for her high damage output and fast jungle clears while not requiring mana as a resource - this lets her counterjungle and put pressure on lanes earlier than most other junglers and not have to return as often.
She particularly punishes slow junglers like Nautilus in the early levels, where she can clear her own jungle something like 20 to 40 seconds faster than them. She's also faster-moving than most other champions at early levels with her speed boost and her ult makes for a really good disengaging tool if she gets caught off guard.[/COLOR]

I'm happy I've managed to climb back up to the 1200ish elo range from 1k range. Man Nunu top is so easy. It's annoying dealing with the rage of everyone though who goes WTPOMGZOMGNUNUTOP.

3. Nom a minion for HPs.
4. Repeat until enemy laner is irritated enough to stop trying to harass you.
I get the impression that he'd be a great counterpick against Teemo top - he doesn't give a damn about being blinded, his snowball messes with Teemo's damage output, and Teemo has no sustain to deal with being snowballed repeatedly. Cuts down Irelia's healing potential and damage output from her steroid, cut's Udyr's ability to heal with Turtle Stance, messes with Olaf's sustain pre-6 (post 6 Olaf probably decimates Nunu, though)...
Pretty much does what Teemo does to autoattackers, but worse - ruins their day.[/COLOR]

Been playing Counter-Bruiser Bruiser Lux in PBE all day. Really fun.
Health Quints cost far too much though. They cost almost as much as a 6300 champ. Hell, runes are expensive as pomegranate in general.

I've tried Several trees with Shyvana. Full AD, AD pen, Move Speed + ADand/orAD pen. She's just good on all grounds. Flash can get her infornt of baddies escaping and push them back to the team, and exhaust slows them for chasing. All in all, she's amazing for the lack of cc she has, I can only laugh at people who think she has little/no Burst damage and does 0 Damage. Maxed Q with Attack speed makes her so destructive it's a joke. She also can hard counter nunu in the jungle if played correctly and has been tournament proven.
fyi, you inspired me to buy Shyvvy and play all sorts of games with her and test out different rune pages. You made me want to be a jungler now. You goob.

If you want a ganking jungler, look into
- alistar
- maokai
- malphite
- amumu
- nocturne
- nautilus
As others have said, shyvana is more of a counter jungler and making the enemy jungler useless.

Shyvana is a farm jungler, not really a ganker. She's fairly useless if you've got a bad matchup and need ganks but if your lanes can hold their own with minimum ganks then she can wreck the enemy jungler and come into your teamfights with Jesus-level farm.

Bah, never did get sold on Health Quints - I think they were nerfed recently or some such, but 78 HP just does not feel worth 3 Quint slots.[/COLOR]

Incidentally, neither does 6.75 AD but I still buy and run AD quints.
For that matter, a lot of quints seem fairly useless if you look at them. 13 armor from armor yellows seems pitifully small too.

They've been that way since forever. The main reason why someone would get them is because HP Quints, as well as MS Quints, are the most universally usable among champions. Cause people start with 2 runepages.

What do you mean?
If you've been doing Tribunal, your account automatically gets credited IP for every correct judgment, when the case is resolved. No email notification required.

Finishing a game doesn't add up to my IP count. To see them, I have to buy a rune or a champion to see my real amount of IP. Happens almost every game.
