only know this because i cheated the system and got a darkrai before i should have been able to, and it didnt appear in the regional.

It doesn't show in the regional dex, but you can still have it. If someone traded you a legitimate Darkrai, it wouldn't give them a message saying they can't trade it to you. Likewise, if they traded you a Jirachi, it wouldn't be blocked either. It just doesn't show up in the Pokedex until you upgrade it. The stats screen has their Pokedex number listed as ??? until you get the national dex.

At least, I think that's how I remembered it. I'm pretty sure I managed to get a Charmander from someone online in Diamond before I even got the national dex.

It only healed a few times, and I got a critical hit or two and owned that sucka.

Edit: That was in response to when bws2cool posted earlier. Meant to quote it. Btw, beat the whole gym with onyx. And I challenged the leader at like lvl 9.

iirc, diamond had it so that you had to have the national dex before you could even consider getting pokemon outside of the region, and with the release of platinum that limitation was removed for that game.

also just got my heart gold copy, and i cant fuggin figure out how the hell to get the damned clip onto the walker thing.

Unscrew the back of the walker, screw on the new backing. They don't mix together, they're two seperate battery covers. I don't know why the hell they made them this way.

Hidden Power FTW. A good IVed Pikachu's Hidden Power would beat Fly in damage and it has the Flying Type.

Pretty much. Only 16 Pokemon types, so roughly a 6.25% chance to get it per Pikachu >Smile.
