Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-10-04 Been thinkin - 2 Monks and 2 Summoners ought to be a perfect PvP team - The Summoners create between them an army of small threats, the Monks buff not only themselves but the Summoners and Mobs, the Monks tank hits and wall enemy melee long enough for the Mobs to become a threat, the Monks can heal each other and the Summoners/Mobs, the Summoners themselves can lob spells into the mix, etc - I could see something like this becoming overwhelming very quickly if the enemy team did not have sufficient AoE abilities or dispose of the Summoners almost immediately. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-10-04 I do hate those summons in pvp, deals high damage and interrupts my attacks. But then those summoners are way higher than me(3x compared to 18), so I wouldn't know what happens if I were higher level.

I hate that too ![]() Summoners are a pain in team PvP - they get to run and hide while their team walls for them until the summons come into play. Each Summoner can crank out upwards of 7-8 summons, meaning a total of 2 Priests + 2 Summoners + 14 summons = 18 simultaneous threats for 4 people to worry about. Skills like Flamethrower are about your only hope in this case, esp considering most of the summons have ranged attacks (some hitting wide areas) or can cause status afflictions. The upside is that if they burn through their mana they cease to be a threat in the slightest. The monks having 2 buffs up (presumably 1 attacking and 1 defensive buff) and healing mean that at least half of the 18 threats (assuming most stay in/around the buff circles) will be stronger than usual as well. Even if you devote 2 people to dealing with the 14+ summons, you are still leaving 2 people to combat 4. There doesn't seem to be much you can do in this situation, at least until you have your absurdly powerful Awakening skills capable of mass damage to large AoEs. Basically, the idea is to maximize the benefit of the buffs/healing and to simultaneously maximize the potential of each and every summon. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Spaz - 2009-10-04
Updated table, added subclasses. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-10-04 Spaz Wrote: Paul's remaking his Monk. (MechPaul) Also, I recommend adding a PvP column describing what kinds of PvP (if any) the person does. For example, I almost exclusively play team PvP vice solo or elim. Finally, I'd like to briefly discuss a moment of AWESOME that I had in PvP the other day - It's 3v3 team PvP, right? Everyone but myself and the other gunner is dead. The map is the tavern. I run to the barrels on the bottom left. Enemy chases. I launch into Flamethrower, he shoots me with a few arrows. We both have almost no HP. I die, but, as I'm dying, the last hit of Flamethrower kills him as well! I still got the loss, but it's the only time I've seen someone die in PvP AFTER their opponent was eliminated. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Manu - 2009-10-04 :installing game: I wanna make a summoner; Any tips? Also im a soul bender. On the contrary, there is a LOT of skill involved, mostly in working together with your team. I spent a good 2 and a half hours with some people team PvPing, and it was pretty intense. Only a handful of times did anyone get double teamed, and it usually resulted in their partner getting killed. Most of the time it was pretty chaotic, but the teams still worked with each other. For example, I'd run ahead and flamethrower to either block enemy charges or hit them/keep them in one spot while the other gunner would lay into them with whatever he could and the witch let loose with whatever that white cat is. When I couldn't flamethrower anymore, the Witch would run ahead and distract them while I ran back and supported with Bomb. It requires just as much skill as solo PvP, particularly because you can't just use one chain of attacks to knock off 3/4 of a person's health in a go without fear of retribution. Doing so in team PvP will likely get you killed as well because it makes you an easy target. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-10-04 Team for mobber, solo for others. Anyone know a good way for gunner(launcher) to get tech in dragon nest? I can't get S cause my tech is always so low. And what's the equivalent of treasure box in sky tower maps? Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-10-04 USMC Wrote:Team for mobber, solo for others. First question - slide kick. Repeatedly. It is fairly weak and prevents enemies from attacking, so it builds up your tech pretty easily. Doesn't work as well on the dragons, but is great for the white lizards. 2nd - the fountains/blocks/orb thingers. Last note on team PvP - it's more strategic, assuming you go in with a planned team. There can be a lot of meta-gaming here. Just going in with randoms is a bit more chaotic. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Manu - 2009-10-04 Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Kurtle - 2009-10-04 Spaz Wrote: Updated Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-10-04 ^ I don't play MindlessBlow anymore, my gunner is named

I'm talking about the treasure box which gives you equips in reward. Don't seem to find them in sky tower, never got a equip in reward. Those drop randomly. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-10-04 Umm...unless I misunderstood it, in the mirkwood dungeons, you get random equips from reward only if you break the red treasure boxes. And I'm looking for the equivalent of the red treasure box in sky tower. And I'm looking for the equivalent of the red treasure box in sky tower. I wasn't aware of this. The only thing I knew of that affects dungeon rewards was Miniboss kills (enemies with special abilities/buffs). I would assume those little cube things though, as they seem the closest equivalent. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-10-04 I don't think it's the mini boss, I kill like 7+ of them everytime in dragon nest and at the end, it never gave me equips. Someone clarify please

I've specifically seen things in-game telling me that killing minibosses affects treasure rates. And I get equips all the time in Drago Nest. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-10-04 Lemme check game guide on their site, maybe there will be something about this o.o Edit: Okay got it, mini bosses increases the rewards' quality, the box for getting the equip http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/Guide/Dungeons.aspx http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/Media/MagazineView.aspx?boardNo=600&contentNo=005dV&pageIndex=1 Scroll down to bottom Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - JoeTang - 2009-10-04
Here. Damn. Felix, got any fatigue left? Wanna add me on MSN (joejtang@hotmail.com) or something so I don't have to be constantly checking if you're on in-game? I basically passed out from exhaustion last night and woke up just now. |
