Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-27 I'm finding it to be rather difficult acquiring upgrades already. Probably cause rerolling legendaries / set items requires you salvaging Legendaries / Set Items to begin with, along with sometimes requiring Flawless Imperial gems. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Shidoshi - 2014-03-27 MuscleWizard; What's the whole deal with Creeping Death anyway? It doesn't seem all that strong to me. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Razmos - 2014-03-27 Urzael seemed like an ok boss on Torment 1, his attacks were nicely telegraphed, and it was actually quite fun, despite him being a damage sponge... Then he got that stupid beam attack in the second phase. It isn't telegraphed at all, and it's hard to dodge if he uses it when you are close. I was doing really well for pretty much all the fight and nearly killed him, just for him to shoot it off randomly, catch me just on the edge of the beam and killed me in one hit. So I think, screw that, and lower the difficulty to Master to fight him. He does the EXACT same stunt, catching me on the edge of the beam and killing me nearly instantly. There is no sign that he is going to use it, and touching it means nearly certain death. It's a pile of crap. A lot of Reaper of Souls seem to be like this so far. Like those 2 annoying Death Maidens guarding the crucibles. summoning like 30+ archers who stand around the edges chipping at away at your health, then they do a bullpomegranate Vortex + Spin Attack combo which takes away like 75% of your health. I really wanna kill Urzael on Torment 1, but it takes so long to chip away at his health that it will take me hours to do it right if it keeps killing me in one shot like that. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2014-03-27 Shidoshi Wrote:MuscleWizard; What's the whole deal with Creeping Death anyway? It doesn't seem all that strong to me. it makes your damage over time skills last five minutes or so meaning they become an awesome supplement to your damage and with piranhas, pretty much permanent 15% extra damage Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2014-03-27 Has anyone else found a bunch of legendary plans? I think I've gotten 9 at this point, and only one legendary material. I spent about an hour today trying to get materials and found Aughild's and Demon's plans instead. Though at least the one legendary material I have that isn't an Adventurer's Journal is for Aughild's I guess. I think they mega-buffed the plans drop rate, but the special materials required are even more rare than the plans themselves, it seems. Tried a good 50 times for a quill for that level 70 bow, and walked away with nothing. It's stupid.

I just did a "hit and run" type strategy against Urzael. I don't remember the "Fire Beam" being that bad and I was in melee range for 95% of the fight due to the Entropy rune. I'm almost at the point of having every gem have access to Royal+. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - happylight - 2014-03-27 The legendary crafts are generally not worth it. Most of them are just 6-prop items with no unique affix. You'd need to craft a ton of them to get one that's better than a good yellow. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - PennyPacker - 2014-03-27 I second the usefulness of creeping death. I'm sure it's not as useful at high dps amounts, but for weaker people like me it's nice having a mob of 20 enemies affected by locust swarm indefinitely. MuscleWizard; I'm pretty sure the cloud of insects rune that you are using on the build you posted is actually useless with creeping death. That rune doesn't improve the damage per second, just doubles the duration. I'm using the pestilence rune so I can infect large mobs even quicker. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Evilince - 2014-03-27 Broke 1mil DPS ![]()
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-27 That low toughness though. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Polantaris - 2014-03-27 I hope they fix this loot thing soon. I find the game excruciatingly painful from 67-69, because no gear drops, but the stat/damage curve is ridiculous. The game was nearly impossible for my Wizard and now my Crusader when I was 67-69, but the second I hit 70 and started getting 70 gear, everything was significantly easier. The game went from being nearly impossible to really easy even on T1. I think it's largely in part due to no gear dropping that's 67-69, or if it does it's so rare that it'd mind as well not drop. My friend and I had the same problem Razmos; did with Urzael's beam. He can use it during the entire second phase, but when he's at like 1/3rd health it does a RIDICULOUS amount of damage. My friend plays a tanky Monk and still nearly instantly dies from it, and it certainly does too much damage to be able to survive it if it clips him at all. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Evilince - 2014-03-27 Dark Link Wrote:That low toughness though. Nah, its fine, im at 800-1000 resists. It'll get better over time just like my dps. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Arcana27961 - 2014-03-27 Crusader is definitely my second favorite class. I'm loving Fist of the Heavens.

I used to run Pestilence for that same reason, but since Creeping Death makes the DoT last quite a while, why not run with the rune that turns the locusts into fire and does more DoT? I mean, if the plan is simply to kite literally everything, why not do the most damage possible and let the locusts spread slowly as you run from pack to pack? I'm having a hard time making money now without running RA or something along those lines. I keep crafting gems and I have basically no gold. Anyone care to run RA with me? I'm managing T5 runs solo right now by sacrificing dps for a delicious 11m toughness. EDIT: I totally just found a build that lets me solo T6 RA runs. Holy pomegranate. Doing levels 61-69 is a pain in the ass indeed, I dread doing them on my WD and Wiz now that I've finally managed to get my barb good damage and toughness (700k and 5,4m). I had to change my whole skill build to fight Uzrael, got loads of cooldowns with stuns and Frenzy/Smite and would just run to his back when he used the flamethrower. Yeah, I changed to the fire DoT after I posted that. I wish locusts had a cold damage version, because I have like 30% additional cold damage on my equips. I only have like 260k and 3.0m on my Wizard and the game is still significantly better than it was before I was 70. The first rare that dropped for each armor/weapon type when I hit 70 was MASSIVELY better than everything I had, because everything I had was 66, or worse, 61. Right now the gear droppings are 60, 61, 66, and 70. There doesn't seem to be anything in between at all, it's awful. Uzrael wasn't so bad for me on Wizard that I had to change my build, but that's mostly because I used Frost Familiar at the time which often freezes bosses in the middle of a dangerous attack which then cancels it when they unfreeze. I think the hardest part about his battle is that after he hits like 25% the battlefield turns into a maze of flaming death. I would lose half my health walking through it because I was trapped and would die otherwise. When you're lv68, the items dropping for you are ilv68 while their required levels might be different. Source: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12251125259?page=2#38 |
