[MENTION=245]Worthyness[/MENTION]: I imagine it is imperfect. Due the fact that Amon's "Energy Bending" doesn't even touch both of the same points as Aang's Energy Bending did, I would be willing to bet it's an imperfect method. I imagine it just "hard blocks" their chi or closes one of their chakras so they can't bend.

Someone on another site found the possible chakra points Amon is using to "take away" people's bending:
Sound Chakra: Located in the throat: Deals with truth and is blocked by lies, the ones we tell ourselves.
Light Chakra: Located in the center of the forehead: Deals with insight and is blocked by illusions.
Though I don't see how those correlate with no more bending though.

Actually, the blocking of the chakras sounds viable. Considering he's blocking the chakra for "insight", it's possible he's causing people to believe the illusion that he's created- that their bending is "gone". Some intense chi-blocking right there.
