What I'm seeing Nexon do with Evans is most likely making us a "defensive" mage as our attacks are indeed slow compared to all other mage classes and also lack any kind of synergy whatsoever.. AngelxHoly Wrote:Since I'm not them, I'm just taking a massive guess. I think they're saying that even though Evans may be the "slowest mage" post-chaos (we are talking post, right? D: ), that theyre not neccesarily slow. But hey, thats a guess because it confuses me as well. :c. Teppi Wrote:didnt chaos make evans attack hella fast? Evans are hella fast post-chaos. Even if they were the slowest mage, that doesn't mean they are slow. if 2 cars run at speeds of 100 MPH ad 99 MPH, despite the second car being the slowest of the 2, its speed isn't slow at all. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - kingdj333 - 2011-04-17 Am I the only one who wants spammable ultimates back? [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - MuscleWizard - 2011-04-17 Arcane Ames looks like a mistranslation to me. Arcane Aim makes much more sense [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - IllegallySane - 2011-04-17 kingdj333 Wrote:Am I the only one who wants spammable ultimates back? You WANT to be a one button class again? Eh......... no thanks. It screwed over Mages to be terrible at bosses. As for training, it may be faster but you have to be an absolute zombie to play a 4th job Mage; aka you'd be bored to tears leveling. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - Dusk - 2011-04-17 Tikey Wrote:I'm not sure about this, since this update makes Evans, once again, the slowest attacking mage. Speed wouldn't be a problem if mobs weren't designed to die in one hit. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - kingdj333 - 2011-04-18 IllegallySane Wrote:You WANT to be a one button class again? I agree that it was boring, but it made training extremely easier for me- main reason why I quit was because I got anally raped when they added the cooldown timer to my level 24 Blizzard! FFF--- This update does look sexy enough to bring me back to my AM, but I still miss the mindless spamming of Blizzard. >

Still don't see why they removed the party bonus/high hp mobs from the other maps. =/ [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - Dusk - 2011-04-18 kingdj333 Wrote:I agree that it was boring, but it made training extremely easier for me- main reason why I quit was because I got anally raped when they added the cooldown timer to my level 24 Blizzard! You'd quit in a heartbeat if Nexon didn't make the level cap so high. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - LegendGospel - 2011-04-18 Just make MG undispellable (turn on-off at wish), and lower our MP a little to compensate, so we're not like warriors on steroids. Not like we need 18k mp anymore, since you don't see us spamming expensive ultimates today. Lowering MP is nigh impossible, but raising the MP lost through Magic Guard may be a possibility. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - PeePeeAyeDeeKay - 2011-04-18 I didn't see an extraction for items, so thought you guys might wanna know magicians are getting "Special Mastery Books" as well it seems.. http://www.insoya.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=bbs12&no=400 Magicians Arcane Aim 30 Infinity 30 Bahamut 30 Advanced Bless 30 Angel Ray 30 Ifrit 30 Mist Eruption 30 Paralyze 30 Glacial Chain 30 Chain Lightning 30 Elquines 30 Warriors Stance 30 Monster Magnet 30 Rush 30 Berserk 30 Dark Impaler 30 Heaven's Hammer 30 Guardian 30 Blast 30 Intrepid Slash 30 Advanced Final Attack 30 [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - Atruya - 2011-04-18 100% chance to raise a level 5 skill to master level 30. Seems to be for testing purposes only. And suddenly there are lots of useful skills to max at 4th Job. Master Magic, Arcane Aim, Infinity, Mist Eruption and Paralyze. And later Meteo and Big Bang to get the most out of Mist Eruption and Ifrit for the resistance and secondary damage. Building a character is going to be much more interesting. By the way, is the 40% stance effect on Infinity passive or active? 40% chance seems rather low for something you can only use for one minute with 3 minutes cooldown. It's an actual event, pretty much the same as warriors. You get to choose only one though. The Stance effect on Infinity seems to be active sadly =/, it's not going to be that reliable being able to have it on only 1/3rd of the time. Hoping they make it passive in exchange for a lower than other job's stance rate(50-60% seems fine to me) in the upcoming patches.. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - Panacea - 2011-04-18 It'd also be nice if Infinity wasn't able to be dispelled. Or Holy Shield. But I guess the latter doesn't matter since we lose it. Oh, that's neat. ^^ Sucks on Infinity though, the stance is not so useful this way.. [1.2.378] Magicians in Jump - Shidoshi - 2011-04-18 Atruya Wrote:Oh, that's neat. ^^ Well, I'll take 40% stance a third of the time over no stance at all. Just not having to reposition yourself ALL the time is already great. Hey! I found a grand benefit of Glacial Chains! I have no reticence choosing the Arcane Aim 30 book! ![]() I kid...just a little bit. It should be Arcane Aim 30 for everyone then, right? Well, non-mule Bishops have the option of full-on party mode or skimming a little off the top for themselves, I suppose. I wouldn't blame them if they chose Arcane Aim. Oh...and F/Ps might be raging the first few months looking for books or paying out the wazoo for found ones.
