Officially booked a trial week for freelance work at InStyle the week of June 10-14, which means I'm cleared to finally move to New York City this summer! Literally couldn't be happier right now.
Ultimately, though, I have to pass this trial week to get into the freelance pool, where I'll then be scheduled based on what they need (whether that's 1 week a month, 3 weeks a month, 3 months straight, 2 weeks a month then 1 week then nothing, etc.), so fingers crossed and KNOCK ON WOOD. Regardless, the job search is far from over, but it's great having an official commitment.
Otherwise this morning my Rent the Runway contact placed our comped order for four pieces I'll use in a photoshoot next Saturday (including an Oscar de la Renta necklace from his Spring 2013 runway hngggg), and I ordered my new Theory blazer and a pocket square and bowtie for my look for next Friday's fashion show.
Needless to say, it's been a good last 24 hours, though I have academic and MODA planning insanity this week, so off again to work!

I've been frequently talking to my counselor during class lately and it's about damn time. I've been suppressing SO DAMN MUCH.
To begin with, I should have done that in the first place.
It also tends to bother me that everyone in my class lately has been asking me for help because I seem smart...I'm extremely stupid.

Been playing less Maple this semester, studying more, going to all my classes, getting up at the same time every day, eating three meals a day (with snacks!)
Yet I got a low B on my Changes of Global Climate test, and one point below an A in Physics and Linear Algebra.
Physics I'm especially pissed about because I thought it'd be a good idea to add fractions like an idiot (e.g. Q/r1 + Q/r2 = (Q+Q)/(r1+r2))
Coming from a guy who got a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam with minimal studying and a 98% (26 points above class average) in Calc III. Feels bad
Linear Algebra is all about understanding what the f'uck the question is asking and the professor has the strangest way of teaching the class and I just didn't know what one part of a question was asking and that cost me the A.
Global Climate Change was just stupid. He "made the exam questions" with us in class, but the test was WAY more in depth/complicated than he said it would be. That and I was sick the day of that test and I'm not sure I remember comprehending all of the questions. Thank god he made it out of 25 points instead of 100.
As opposed to last semester, where I studied for Calc III only (1hr a week at most) and got a 4.0 overall GPA.
Guess I just need to spend more time studying.

I overslept and missed my seminar, was woken by my phone ringing, my boyfriend was outside because we'd planned for him to drop by for an hour or two. So I had to make myself look presentable, tidy up my room and run out looking like an idiot with bedhead to let him in. (I live in University accommodation with numerous doors and gates).
Once he left I... did absolutely nothing all day. I browsed Southperry, and finally got around to watching Rocky Horror Picture Show again. Also played Maple a little bit before the extension.
Also, the artists of Mahou Shounen Fight responded to my question, with art!

I feel like I am stuck, completely stuck and I can't get out and it sounds like I'm not trying but I am trying so pineappleing hard to do all this on my own and it's not working.
