We succeeded! Highlights:

Capped Rapid Fire! This is with the Virtue buff that adds 40 WA but I was hitting for an upwards of 800k - 900k even without it as my cane gives me an inherent 20% bonus damage against the statues, so I demolished the entire left side while my friends worked on the right.

And this is us beating PB. Things got hectic once we reached PB himself as we're all new to that particular stage so we ate up a couple of wheels, but then my friend suggested for us to go for it Cygnus style and MC whenever he was off DR and only attack during the crash period. He had to use an apple at the end just to make sure we'd make it but a first-time victory for a boss like PB was totally worth it. Biggrin

I feel kind of awesome now.

The spirit walkers arent boss flagged. 1hko moves instantly kill them.
I guess as a DB final cut can kill it or a wild hunter card.
It's like this in JMS too.

This image probably doesn't tell you much, so let me tell you the story of how I successfully led a V2 squad:

We have our runs on Sunday from 3 to 5 am but a hacker got in at 3 so we had to wait until 4.30 to try again. During that time I got increasingly sleepy and irritated as hackers have been crashing everyone's runs even during peak hours (My guild's full Cygnus run was crashed; this is a big deal to us as it's an 18 man run) and after a hacker got in the second time I thought we were done for so I Alt + Tabbed out-

Only to come back and find my party inside the chamber as the hacker must have disconnected. What followed was a series of completely ridiculous load of pants, including my friend getting disconnected minutes after he got us in, Cygnus randomly healing out of nowhere (No birds present and she wasn't nearly dead enough), me getting turned into a pig 60% of the time when I wanted to crash her, Cygnus sneak using DR when I had to go kill the spawned birds and dying out of complete nowhere, though I think I got OHKOed by either Hawkeye or Mihile.

Did I mention that our Evan also died as he ran out of MP?

Either way, it turns out I picked up a few tips while watching my friend lead the squad so I ended up leading the group up until V2s spawned and I left Mihile to him while I thrashed the rest of the KoCs. Rage was about to become explosive as we didn't get any Thief, Archer or Pirate armours but then Oz decided to be kind to us and award us with a robe and hat, while Mihile realized it was probably unfair to let us go with nothing so he coughed up a glove and some other armour I didn't catch.

That screenshot is of the DB and I defeating Mihile together after wiping off the other four KoCs. Biggrin

Boss Battles Thread - Words - 2013-03-27

After yesterday's problems getting in I managed to get in again tonight. Had to use Hero's Will to avoid dying once but it was easy. Heads were kinda annoying, was too paranoid about DR but I made it without dying Big Grin I forgot to take SS right after killing it because I was just too excited. I don't hit max damage so it took me over an hour to clear the whole thing.

Two more bosses down for the count!

My friend invited me to Czak so we did double runs. I was actually using the Apples to make sure we won before my F/P friend bit the dust but alas...the second round was going so good until I lagged slightly when he was at full health and was dead by the time I could move again. Sad

Capped RF and Tempest on Czak is awesome. Biggrin I was also doing roughly 400k + per Mille line on Czak but I think my friend's SE might have something to do with it.

We then decided to go for an Arkarium duo again after the miserable duo defeat last time. The last few minutes were tension-filled as he kept using screen crack and DR while summoning snakes so he'd heal a bit each time we both died but I managed to finish the job at the end by Crashing him to ensure there was no DR at the last slivers of health.

And because I am so mature:

This was an after 12 run, we beat it at 3:46 this time.

Whoo! First time I've ever gotten to certain bosses. Today, we went to :

-Horntail
-Chaos Zakum
-Chaos Horntail
-Hilla (Easy Mode)
-Van Leon
-Akyrum
-Ranmaru (Easy Mode)
-Pink Bean

I died at Pink Bean, as you can see. Sad I'm glad I got this far, though. This is the highest level boss I've ever faced. Maybe, some day, I can tag along for an Empress Cygnus run, since my friend (the one you see in the screen shot) and their friend duo it all of the time.

It was tension-filled from the moment we discovered we couldn't be doored in so my friends took up some time getting their items, two hackers got in before us, one of my friends nearly screwed up by triggering DR due to not getting the instructions (Also DCed later), my other friend who joined me last time had to log out as he was going for dinner so I was the only major attacker left once PB was on-stage proper.

I managed to beat it though thanks to my friend's summons alerting me when DR was over and his Eruption taking care of the Mini-Beans and I think I've nearly perfected my knowledge on attacking him when he's not MCed. I say almost because I lagged when he was down to 10% HP and he DRed just as I was lagging. Tongue Woo hoo!

Yeah PB should be moved ----> to avoid seduce deaths (assuming JMS received the update where PB seduces in both directions)
