Malthe Wrote:Most typical strategy is hit and run, use an attack and then switch it out.
I find that so damn boring.

Also neither worry seed nor simple beam work on pokémon with truant.
you find it boring, but it's great for mindgames, especially with spikes and stuff around, heck, you don't even need to attack with the slaking, just switch him in, and switch to the counter of whatever the opponent is going to switch in.

But if your opponent has entry hazards, you repeatedly switching for 'mindgames' will hurt you a lot.
Slaking's just very very meh in his current state Sad

Not to mention how much moves like fake-out and other flinch-related moves pineapple over your slaking because there isn't a next turn unless you switch, again making you vulnerable.

 Someone called?

I agree an alternative evolution for Vigoroth would be nice, but if it's anywhere near Slaking concerning stats it would be too powerfull.
What I'm really hoping for would be an alternative to Truant. I don't really see anything happening to any of the Slaking evolution line members though, unless they throw in new battle mechanics.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Razmos - 2013-03-12

It makes perfect sense that Slaking took so long to reply.

there's rotation battles, how does truant even work there?

I found this video. Just a guy talking about what he wants from Gen 6 and looking at fake scans and stuff. But seriously, it's hilarious some of misjudgements he makes, like thinking a character from LoZ: Wind Waker is a Froakie evolution. and then connects it to Naruto, because Naruto and Bleach are seemingly the only Japanese things he knows.
-snip-

I made it about halfway through that video before the urge to kill something overtook me, because of the repeated use of "I like this" and "alright" combined with being wrong about as much as possible.

Excuse me, I'm going to scream.

wouldn't cubone have to evolve into kangaskhan for that theory to make sense..?

Eddikins Wrote:wouldn't cubone have to evolve into kangaskhan for that theory to make sense..?

Not really. Because the people that hold to the theory say that it was intended for the first gen games, but they just kind of forgot about it.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Razmos - 2013-03-12

I'm sure there was something about Missingno evolving into Kangaskhan, suggesting that there was some evolution data in there.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - See - 2013-03-14

This kinda goes against the thread topic, but I started getting back into Pokemon recently and after seeing this thread I missed getting a good FM spot because I watched Pokemon videos for about an hour without noticing the time.
Stunned

Lifestory: I started playing S/R/E and LG/FR and stopped at Diamond, but this giant revamp on the way the game is played makes me want to buy a 3ds and play X/Y.
I'd probably just play Pokemon, spare some Mario or Final Fantasy stuff, so what's your opinion, concerned reader? Would it be worth it to buy a 3DS?

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y - Corn - 2013-03-14

If you're buying a 3DS to just go play the Pokemon storyline, I don't think you should buy a 3DS.

I'm also considering this. You should take a look at several other games too, buying a handheld for one game doesn't seem worth it for me.
Personally I might buy it, since I also want Mario Kart 7.

Get it so we can play eachother you nib.

I got my 3DS for the games on it in general, but pokémon WAS a big factor.

That is probably the main reason I got a gba and a dsi. The other games on the system were extra incentives.

Gonna get 3ds for pokemon x/y, and the mystery dungeon game, but other games like all the mario games, tales of abyss, fire emblem etc are there too.

Do you not understand corn? IT'S POKEMON. Pokemon (and megaman starforce/battle network now that I think about it) are like instabuys for me no matter what.
