You can pick up the rest from potential if you want. It's not really worth spending money getting lower level gear to epic/unique anyway and you can get decent str bonuses on rare items.

Which 3rd job are you referring to? 3rd job is lvl 55 for DBs, and 3rd job+ is lvl 70. At lvl 55 you should be talking to the job instructor in the DB area part of kerning. At lvl 70 is the part that you need to enter the dimensional portal which should be in the croco 2 map or something on the top left ropes.

Maple claws (kandayo/shinobi/skanda) or Alien claws (2nd, 3rd, last) from FM are best choice for not well funded sin
Unless you have lot of money to make dex gear then wearing normal claw when base dex still at 25

not funded bandits will deal the same most likely. Unless you get the chance to do daily CWKPQ runs to find a Khanjar, you'll end up with a lowly, not scrolled shield, and then the STR might be out only because it has str added. Of course, assuming you have a zhelm or something of equal stat boosts, then it doesn't really matter because you could get enough STR and DEX to equip whatever the hell you want.
overall, same dps. If you want more DPS, go make a NL.

I thought STR was stronger in the long run because of the Dragon Khanjar. :f6:
But I dunno, you might get some omfgawesome potencial on a VIP thief shield that can surpass a Dragon Khanjar and then scroll it with w.a. scrolls while still being STRless.
Still, the Dragon Khanjar is waaaay cooler.

I assumed he was in Zenith, so no dragon khanjars or VIP stuff o_o
Khanjars are possible to get though, but you need to CWKPQ.

How are unfunded/normal dits at later levels now? Are they able to train at a decent pace or do they still have damage problems if not equipped with an ATT shield and whatnot?
I ask because I want to make a normal bandit (well, I already have one). I'm not going to spend too much on it because I just want it for fun. That and I just can't buy any of the crap to make a half funded bandit anyway. FM prices are just insane nowadays. >_>

Sp resets screwed people over that were not 4th job because they didn't properly program their resets. We can't give you a proper build if you were to use one because you aren't adding the SP normally like you were supposed to. They made SP resets based on a lvl lockdown, 1st job is lvls 10-30 (which means your 2nd job is part of 1st job but 2nd+ is not), then 3rd job is at lvl 70 (which means it starts at 3rd+ for DBs and you can't move any of your saved sp over at lvl 55 like you were supposed to). JoeTang mentioned this in the bugs section, the only thing different is the placement of your SP but your total sp is still the same.
Concerning proper builds, well not much to say, drop fatal blow and toss it into all your other skills you should have tons of leftover sp. Anyone that tried to use fatal blow says it fails hard now in post BB.

Not sure what levels you mean exactly, but with all my gear I get about 1 level in 40 minutes at C-2 in magatia on my 97 cb. Taking off 13 atk gloves and shield, I got only a little bit lower exp in the 5 minutes, worked out to be about 1 level in 50 minutes. Not really the best test, but might give you a general idea, I wouldnt let funding stop you from making a character.

My bandit was semifunded in that my cousin gave me his equips when i got to level 90, but before that i had 81 base dex and 20 base strength without a zhelm till level 70 pre -BB. If you have one already and want the character for funsies, i assume you already have another class? transfer over the common equips and go mess around. If you can CWKPQ, you can bonus stage for a regular khanjar (if you're lucky. that's how i got mine) and not worry about the shield. You don't need to spend to have fun
As for other equips: don't worry about that too much. Just hunt for drops and try to find them pre-potentiald. they're free and the only work you have to do is training!
