I'm pretty sure if you make the 1st job advancement late, you do not lose any points. However, you lose valuable HP because Pirates gain more HP than beginners per level up.
However, I'm pretty sure you lose skill points on the second and up job advancements.

Maybe the Nautilus port will set sail again and introduce a new area under water, maybe even deeper than aquaroad... I would like to see that happen IMO, a greater expansion of aqua road, possibly another town... But oh well, thats just me running my mouth..

I heard the 2nd job advancement for pirates didn't do the marble thing and you had to kill 15 octopus instead.

This isn't exactly the best place for it - but have you thought that maybe the damage formulae was warped in that if you went pure str as a gunslinger you'd be stronger than a pure dex gunslinger?

If the range for gunslingers match that of archers:
Gunslinger Formulas
Max Damage = [(DEX * 3.6 + STR) / 100] * Weapon Attack
Min Damage = (DEX * 0.9 * 3.6 * Skill Mastery + STR) / 100 * Weapon Attack
I have 10 STR, 72 DEX, and 11 watk.
My Range is 6~56.
If we use the formulae, then it dictates that my range is 4~29, which can't be right.

Did you have an attack potion on?
I tried it, and if you add an 8 attack boost to that, you get 6~56.
