He can't control dragon or baron against other, more capable junglers at all. This is fact, unless you're playing against people that don't know what a ward is. As for the first part, it's always true. And by late game he clears pretty much every camp so slow it's barely even worth it. You're better off running out to lanes and farming with your ultimate but even then you run out of mana insanely fast unless you have blue, and you're going to have to give that to people on your team fairly often. The ONLY thing he's good for is ganking as a jungler and and heavy jungle player will tell you the same. @ Will: Wriggle's is horrible on rammus. Complete waste of gold. You're only trying to compensate for his flaw if epic slowness and crap sustainability and weakening his strong point: being a tank. @Dark Link: No. What I mean is that he's actually bad at killing the jungle by mid-late game. Also, since rammus is purely an MIA ganker for all of early game and mid game, he often gets underleveled from doing so, and if you don't get fed with him, you pretty much wasted the jungle spot on your team. Jungle rammus was f'ucking insane for like a week , then I guess I started getting paired up with better players and holy s'hit it was insane how much he sucked. You know, people that actually have wards and don't push their lanes, that don't get ganked as often. Things didn't start too well. Our jungle Olaf died from wraiths (wtp). But I managed to snag first blood on that Xin Zhao who happened to remain at one place for too long. Eat my Rupture, Feral Scream, Vorpal Spikes, and Ignite. Mid-game, things were somewhat even. At times, we were caught out of position, and that was really bad for our teamfights. I got ganked a couple of times; as a result, I was 1-3-3, and things didn't look too good for me. I got farmed a bit, ate a bit more, and avoided overextending as much as possible. Slowly, I started to rack up a kill streak, mostly from nom nom noming people in 5v1/5v2 situations or during teamfights. Once I maintained full Feast stacks for some time and bought enough armor, health, and MR, it was very hard for the other team to take me down. Later on, we suspected the other team was at Baron. Seemingly, the Nasus was heading from top towards that direction, and that confirmed our hunches. We saw them there, engaged, and aced them. The other team chose to surrender while we were getting Baron. Ended the game on a 7 kill streak.

Amumu on the other hand has a damage ability that scales as a percent with the enemy's HP. Jungle creeps will continually get stronger via HP increases. Jungle creep HP caps when ALL players have maxed out their champion levels (excluding Baron, whose HP can increase indefinitely as a function of time). Everyone is talking about mid-late game, where unless you are using your ult have fun spending 3 minutes trying to get red/blue buff alone. My take on jungle rammus, is he is fine for premades that need to fill a jungle and tank spot, but I dont think he is worth it fo solo queue. Rather see a more sustained jungle(ww,noct,nunu, etc) and take shen/mumu/alistar for tank.
