Familiar Hack - FallenStar - 2012-01-02 Time like this you will find out who ur real friends are. Is it just me or Maple server is down right now? O-o I can't seem to open it after i redownload it. Familiar Hack - SwordStaker - 2012-01-02 This has been a really rough time for me as a guild leader. I've been cracking down hard on people leeching. Using a hacked spawn is one thing. I'm not a huge fan at ALL of boosted spawn but w.e..I guess I'm okay with that even though I haven't stepped foot in LHC since Ascension..this is just wayyyyyyyyyyyy over the line. I am not tolerating this with my guild and I do't think any -legit- player and guild leader should. I really hope NEXON takes down the fame like mabi and fix all ofa this. I hope with Min Kim back in.charge things will change. Back when he was incharge I was kind of too young to really care but from what I hear from other players he did a lot of good things. Familiar Hack - Raph589 - 2012-01-02 CarrionCrow Wrote:Yes the spawn increase with more peeps, but that's not what we mean by boosting, nor is it even near as efficient. Nope. There is an actual way to boost it. Just get a crapton of people in a map, then hit each mob once. When mobs respawn, hit them once too and it will get you a glitched map pretty darn fast. Check it out, everyone in it is training legitimately (rather there are 2 people training, the other 4 are filler). But then I go afk for a few hours. With the proliferation of hackers, it's fairly plausible that at some point one got invited to the party. So should I just leave parties whenever I need to afk? I've been doing so. I went afk for only 15 minutes to make some lunch and came back to find a hacker in the party, ever since then I just leave when I have to do something. Hoping for an announcement or something sometime this week... Familiar Hack - Eos - 2012-01-02 Stereo Wrote: But then I go afk for a few hours. Well in my day no one would even consider being AFK for a few hours in a party on an active map unless they were paying for leech, so yes. If you're not contributing, GTFO

If you're not contributing, GTFODid people even do that before leafre came out? Pay for leech I mean. I don't recall EVER seeing that, either someone selling the service OR someone buying it, at least not in Khaini. They were pretty hardballs about legitimacy though, they would probably go so far as to consider buying leech illegit. The first time I ever saw that as a service was when Bigfoot came. Also not sure what you consider "your day" to be, but I'm pretty confident in assuming you played past the release of third job. My brothers used to AFK one of their characters for me whenever I intended to train my Priest/Bishop and neither of them was available/interested to train through a 2x event. Same concept. Familiar Hack - Olsi - 2012-01-02 Alliance members asked if anyone HS for a "glitched map" I told them leave the party or leave the alliance , pretty much made them leave ,since they havent been on maple for months they had no idea >.<.

Leafre just made it better for even higher levels. It was rarer then, but then the idea of someone sitting in your party contributing nothing but getting a share was considered idiotic by most even after Leafre. Familiar Hack - Stereo - 2012-01-03 Viaje Wrote:But she IS contributing by being another +50% experience for those who are training.Actually 100% exp, since it has the WB ring on it. As far as I'm concerned it's standard procedure to tell the party you're AFK, then let them kick you when they find a replacement. I suppose it's time to rethink that. Although given the character's already gained levels that way (138-144 during a 2 hour movie, it wasn't in the party when I got back so I've no idea how long it actually took), the point seems moot. The character's level is not representative of legitimate effort, and it being a higher level just means a slight exp penalty for everyone else in the party. Familiar Hack - Justin - 2012-01-03 Was just chatting with a hacker at LHC while I was doing my VL quests. He says he "makes mad USD" off of this game, and said that this isn't a game to him, it's a source of income. He then went on to say (like everyone else) that the familiar hack "Isn't a hack. It's a mod." I haven't laughed this hard in a while. It's amazing how far greed goes for some people. Jesus christ what is wrong with this guy why does Nexon take the back seat to all of this why. Why. Familiar Hack - Exidous - 2012-01-03 This problem has been festering as long as glitch LHC has been around (longer if you think sped up leveling was illegitimate enough). Game culture hasn't addressed what is or is not legitimate. Is leeching somehow worse because there's a hacker in the party now? Even when the actual method is precisely the same? I really think a strikes policy rather than an instant kick policy should be adopted for guildies you catch leeching from a hacker. As Stereo points out, standard operating procedure can easily land someone legitimate in a hacker's party. Ultimately we are going to have to change our party behavior while this hack is around, but till then I think it's overly harsh if we're kicking people on sight who may have not intended any contact with a hacker. Scare them into making sure it doesn't happen again, but our guilds are probably under enough stress as it is, kicking the actual hackers and being generally vigilant. Familiar Hack - Blades4hire - 2012-01-03 So.... a no boom hack just got released to the public. Granted it doesn't work on enhances, and you need to buy a "VIP" packet editor, but still. Your game, your product, is turning into a pomegranate fest and you do nothing to save it? At this rate, the game won't even last until the pirate/thief revamps. It'll be like Brasil Maplestory- hacks and rampant shithole forever. Also in regards to hackers making said hacks: "Some men just want to watch the world burn" |
