Well, the Dragon duo has a point. What's the point of Dragon Slayer magic if it isn't to kill dragons? At least they should change its name, or Natsu, Wendy and Gajeel should call it differently. Maybe they will after this.

That would be stupid. They're not going to change the names of it, because two new nobodies start acting like douchebags.
Yes, they can slay dragons with the magic. Does that mean all dragons should be slayed? No. What would they have gained from killing Igneel/Metalicana/Grandine? Nothing. Plus, they already slayed the Anima-Dragon from Edolas, so it's not unprecedented for the first generation.
As if the new two idiots could even touch aknowlogia when it made Zeref run away scared and gildartz lost several limbs against it.

We're probably going to get some kind of BS about how they betrayed the dragon and likely killed it when it had no intention of fighting back and/or was weak. I'd only like to think that because I'd rather think of these guys as scrubs versus actually having the character or real strength to kill a dragon, though. Hopefully it is this way.
Also, so it was suggested Erza already has Second Origin. So it seems people already had Second Origin- it only became known during the 7 year timeskip, though, according to what Ultear said. Well, I am curious if this changes fighting tiers or not and if Erza will remain second or if the rest of the cast catches up with her.

it's the olympics of Fairytail! Will probably have some sort of magical wrestling competition at the end though. Has to have some sort of fighting. Why else would they have a competition to say "X guild i the strongest in Running and weightlifting! But we don't know fighting strength!"?

Damm it, they got done with the sky labyrinth way too fast, The Magic torunament will be over before we even realize it.
I can already see it the magic tournament takng second place in importance against what's going on inside the Mercuria castle, Fairy tail will prolly lose early in the competition giving the chance to find out whats going on behind the curtain.
I liked the chapter though, It was funny and had action.

Screw the magic tournament taking second place, the entire ARC is taking second place. :/ The training, the time skip, the tournament...I don't mind it though. The stages like these in this kind of story are usually the ones that bore people the most and lead to an unsuccessful arc. I like that the author is trying things that other mangaka NEVER do. (reverse time skips, training periods that take 3 chapters, preliminary stages that are large in scope yet end extremely quickly because it's irrelevant) It means he's focused on what he really wants to get out of this arc (and more importantly having all the main characters show off their new magical powers) before it gets boring.
