[1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - LegendGospel - 2010-06-25 But... we're already Jesus. *points at resurrection* I don't see what the difference between Holy Spirit and Guardan Angel, both are fictional characters. Holy Spirit is an obvious reference to the third entity in the Holy Trinity. I'm a little particular about this stuff...and yes this counts as blasphemy. Resurrection...what's wrong with reviving pixels? You forgot to mention "rising again from the dead". While it is appropriate for a shadower, if you start to lazily bleed skills together in order to achieve the same effect then what is the point of having seperate jobs if the endgame is all the same? That's exactly what I said, in my last ~2-3 posts. Please read. [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - Alloy - 2010-06-25 Hanabira.Kage Wrote: Lol Blasphemy. You relate anything to the holy spirit, and it's blasphemy? Even if it's a damned bishop? Be thankful he didn't suggest it for the battle mage. And how wrong could be a spirit that is holy made with pixels? [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - LegendGospel - 2010-06-25 I find it blasphemous that Maple Story uses my tree of Kabbalah for graphics, my pomegranate is serious business. Back to the real topic... I think that the MAIN problem with the original magicians is that they were just NOT designed to work without ultimates. Nexon designed Evans and Battle Mages to be VERY competent without their ultimates; these are just awesome bonuses that are added into their gameplay. The original magicians are the other way around, they revolve completely around their ultimates, because the game was broken as hell back then, and they were created with no other skills that can really sustain them as a job. That's why Nexon is going nuts with magicians now, giving buffs, taking away, and so on. I find it weird that they haven't designed new skills for them, instead of buffing Big Bang (which is very welcome, but fixes nothing) and giving us a hitting Teleport. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sutVA9cELIg While Big Bang does seem to provide decent training for Bishops, the playstyle is just horribly planned. First, we're spamming a 3rd job skill half of the time. Second, we're spamming a 4th job common-branch skill the other half of the time (Big Bang). Big Bang doesn't work with Teleport Mastery (our only "new" skill), and you have to wait a lot sometimes to fire it, since knockback cancels it if you fire it while getting hit. Granted, the training speed is not bad, but there is no fun or uniqueness in this kind of gameplay. It's seriously more cool to train spamming Somersault Kick, a first job skill, than training a Bishop at 4th job... I just see absolutely no appeal. All other jobs get cool skills, new animations, awesome buffs... the only thing we really got now is Big Bang. Angel Ray remains broken as for now. Anyway, my point is... I really think that these 3 magician jobs need a SERIOUS revamp, or no one is gonna bother playing them. Save for Bishops at bosses, just for their utility. From the changes, it seems that they are intent on trying to fix our existing skills (which is going nowhere currently) rather than come up with something new. On a seperate note: Any idea how is Mortal Blow being activated by the BM after this rebalance patch? Used to be that Mortal Blow is being activated during the "bow whacking action" or (at least really cloese distance between u and the mob). But since there's no minimum attack distance for range jobs anymore, how's this skill being activated? Issit still a passive skill? or a Buffing skill? And finally, what other "attacking skills" tat triggers this skill? (E.g. all 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th job attacking skills or just 3rd job attacking skills or below only?) I guess it'd be pretty fair. Yep, like I said, it's a stretch.Just with the new hp increase alone, it feels like we got everything we needed. Of course, Meso Guard would be nice but well... it's more unneeded than needed. I can't honestly say why my class is looking for buffs past the removal of minimal range(punching), 260% TT, 170% L7, and most importantly the 570% Avenger which will speed up training TONS. Any other suggestions that someone like me would have are little things.(Like speeding up Shadow Partner a bit, it's always felt too slow for me.) [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - MorbidMagus - 2010-06-25 Did Spadow really just copy and paste SP for the skill updates? :f6: OT: Loving the Dark Knight updates, all though I'll greatly miss the Dark Knight playing style, being able to Zerk anywhere with no problem is quite convenient, especially with that damage boost. [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - Takebacker - 2010-06-25 Eh, nothing wrong with him doing that. Why bother writing it all again himself when someone else did it and everyone is consulting SP for the changes anyway? [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - MorbidMagus - 2010-06-25 Nothing, just seemed odd to me. Is there any thing to suggest the rules of which classes Thorns can affect has changed? Or stackable with SE? [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - Fiel - 2010-06-25 As long as he gives credit, which he did, I really don't mind what he copies so long as it's not like this for every extraction, y'know? [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - Zacairga - 2010-06-25 Still no videos on the new Shadower? I think there are skills that they've changed back and forth on multiple occasions now. Lol. This. [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - Potora - 2010-06-25 I thought I read this somewhere, but I cant seem to go back and find it. Is it true that Final Attack activates with 4th job warrior skills? And if so, which ones? Thanks. [1.2.321] Skill Balancing - Edelstein & Leben - Bribery - 2010-06-25 Spadow's blog says Wild Hunters only get 15% critical bonus while on their Jaguar, but they also got Critical Shot.
