They decide to take a different way back, so they can walk by Felix's house. The police and FBI have the Legard residence and Stan's house blocked off. They can see numerous agents walking around and talking. "Craziness..." Melanie mutters as they pass by.

I don't care where you guys take the story. I have set things I want to happen and reveal, and they'll happen eventually. I just throw out some options of things they could (plausibly) do at the given time. For all you know, going to Crystal Waters could end up being an insanely boring entry with more Melanie and Felix bonding on the shore...or it could turn out they run into a mysterious person again and CRAP HAPPENS...or maybe Melanie drowns in the water while Felix uses the bathroom. Who knows! I don't decide these things until a decision has been made.

And about the Tiffany and Joseph thing, when they departed from the diner, I had Felix say he would call Joseph later and catch him up. In times when Felix would have had chances to call them, I listed it as a choice. Your guys' decision to keep pushing off calling them turned out to be a bad move (if you wanted them to live; maybe no one cared about that innocent, reliable couple ;_. I wasn't hoping you guys would pick that choice by listing it multiple times. I didn't care if they lived or died. I woulda saved them if you guys showed enough interest in them. You didn't. I gave you all the clues (Chad parking outside Speedy Sam's, crows, yada yada) that something bad was approaching them, but the majority expressed more interest in furthering the mystery and finding out about it.

Currently, I'm giving choices to see what you guys want to, generally, happen in the story now. More characters? New location? More info on the mystery? More bonding? Once I get an idea from a few decisions, that's the direction it will head.
