How was your day? - Yorckie - 2012-11-03

I always considered romantic, dramatic or familiar movies unappealing and a bit annyoing in some instances.

Today watched my first full lenght, non-porn and dramatic gay bear love movie. Almost cried. :'C

Today was a simple day. Despite the hurricane aftermath, 2 of my garments that I ordered arrived in the mail today. For a second I thought they would have a terrible fit but they turned out to fit perfectly and match my expectations. Highlight of my week :]

How was your day? - Mike - 2012-11-03

I just purchased my airplane tickets home for winter break. Even though that's more than a month away, I'm getting really excited for the holidays back home!

I also scored a 98/100 on some exam with minimal studying. It was easy, but I was really close to a perfect score!

How was your day? - Kurtle - 2012-11-03

Got an 80% on the exam I thought I failed, so I'm going out with da girls tonight.

Gave Elsword a try today...I freaking love it as much as I loved Grand Chase.
Edit:Installing Windows 8...and yet I'm risking not being able to play Maple and LoL...Well, at least I have a desktop to fall back towards.

I wanted to go back to that game but I always got bored once in a while.
Maybe I'll go back to it asap. Tongue

Pissed people off at work today for standing up for myself finally and I am just ugh. Tired, and I have to open.

How was your day? - Connor - 2012-11-04

Somehow I slept for about 12 hours so I ended up ordering a pizza and watching Mulan and The Avengers both for the first time; they were both very good!

Really good friend's 21st birthday, so went bar hopping around Madison, ending at the same gay club I was at last night. I've been toting the place as so much better than any other gay nightlife establishment in the city, but tonight we left early because it was so terrible. Simply put, the DJ was blasting incomprehensible dub step and 80s rock the entire time, which is fine for bars/clubs catering to that audience in particular, but absolutely not okay for the only gay club within walking distance of most people downtown. LGBT and allies want to hear the Spice Girls, Britney, Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna, and other favorites, not god knows who. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate dub step and like some iterations of the genre, but even these were terrible tonight.

Ugh just so frustrating. This particular DJ sucks and so, naturally, I PR blasted the club via Twitter with super negative comments, asking them to respect the safe space they've created for local LGBT and not turn it into yet another bro-tastic heterosexual venue. We'll see what happens I suppose.

Waited for Mr. Sweden at the train station, we had that awkward moment when you are looking for someone and talking to them on the phone, and then see them and wave and are like "Ah, i see you!".

So we went for something to eat, and talked a lot. He's cheered up a lot and has mostly gotten over the break up now, which is good. We went back to his at around 10:30pm and drank some cider, ate some chocolate and watched a funny film. He fell asleep quite shortly into the film, and so I slept on his floor. We got up this morning and went for coffee. It was just a really great night, I missed him a lot, and we seem closer than ever.

He actually said something quite flirty to me actually, he was about to get changed in the same room and he was like "I'm gonna get changed in here", so I said "Okay, I won't look", and he surprised me by saying "Why not?" and we grinned at each other, it was nice Smile

I was going to wait for a while before saying or doing anything, but he's provoking me by telling me about a guy he likes who he's thinking of asking out. peach. So i'm gonna ask him out on a date. He loves all that shy romantic crap, so he'll probably say yes. Wish me luck southperry!

I went into the bathroom, showered, left the bathroom and I proceeded to move one step downstairs before I realized I still had my towel on and I completely forgot to wear my actual clothes. One guess as to what I did the rest of the afternoon. Tongue

How was your day? - OmegazeroGA - 2012-11-05

Well, I saw Wreck-It-Ralph yesterday...I cried. And it's like 2am and I'm wondering to myself why I fell asleep at 6pm yesterday, then woke up merely two hours ago. (midnight.) So pretty much I'm debating if I should go back to sleep and wait for my alarm, or just surf the internet. (likely going with internet.)...Damn you winter, screwing my sleeping pattern up.
Hmm...only two hours into my Monday and I'm already ready for the weekend to come. HURRY UP SEASON 3.

DJ like that piss me off, regardless of it supposedly being a gay nightclub or not. I was in Madison a few months back for my sister's bachelorette party, and we ended up going to...Segredo (?), I think it's called, and that's ALL the dj was playing was dubstep, and not the good kind either ._. The only reason we stayed is because they kept giving us free drinks. 3/10 would not go again. Chicago night life all the way, baby!

OT: Working 36 hours this week at my temp job and trying to balance school. Let's see how well (or poorly) my time management skills are! But I have coffee, and get paid Thursday, so it's all good. Also, started inquiring about buying tickets for my spring break vacation 8)

I'm procrastinating. I have an assignment due Wednesday that's almost done and a midterm on Wednesday that I haven't studied for very much yet.

Yeah, there's a bar/pseudo-club called Segredo, and yeah, it's not that good. Sad to hear you had a bad experience there but hey, clearly I'm with you - give me Chicago or NYC nightlife any day over Madison.

OT: Barack Obama was just in Madison for the second time this month, with Bruce Springsteen performing before him. To make matters cooler, when my roommate, her boyfriend, and I got there we were just going to hang back and watch everything on the screen, but decided to leave for a bit to grab coffee from Starbucks, as we still had plenty of time before everything began. On our way back in a volunteer stopped us and gave us all VIP tickets, so HOLLA at leaving to move even closer.
