Bell looks like a slightly better mirror.

Happy to see ninja return, and the music sounds great as always.

nothing will be as stupid as mirror was it had a high dmg move, it had ranged atks, and it had the best guard, and its running atk made you invincible

ehhhh Bravely Default was a let down and i won't be finishing it.

 spoiler if you care

Bravely Default demo is out for NA today. I really like it so far. The core mechanics are basically old school Final Fantasy, and there's even fake walls! I found a pineappleing fake wall in a dungeon! With a chest! FAKE WALL!!!!

Also, music is pineappleing amazing. There wasn't anything I wasn't humming to as I played.

I've really liked the Bravely Default demo so far. I really like how customizable the classes are. SO MANY OPTIONS.

The demo doesn't even scratch the surface of the class customization options in the full game.

I took a look at the Wikia actually, and they SERIOUSLY have a lot of good options. It's like Final Fantasy III meets Tactics Ogre at last. Heart

I've been playing ALBW, I really like the diversity on being able to do nearly any dungeon in any order. At first I wasn't a fan of the game basically giving you every item in the game right off the bat, but I've grown to enjoy it. It's a shame the game and dungeons are really short.

3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Lozmaster - 2014-01-12

The game took me a bit under 12 hours on my first playthrough to beat the final boss, but that's a fine length for a 2d zelda. It's only short if you compare it to the recent 3d zeldas and they're full of so much bullshit padding that I wish they could reasonably be <20 hour games too (Like OoT and MM are)

I remember ALTTP being a pretty decently lengthed game, though I suppose that might be because I was young when I played it

3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - 案山子 - 2014-01-12

I'd say Link Between Worlds is the best Zelda ever made to date in terms of overall qualities.

I was extremely skeptical of it before release because I didn't have faith the "painting thing" was a good idea, but it turned out to work out very well and it's pretty seamless. Instantly my 2nd favorite Zelda, only after Majora due to the creativity and originality that Majora and only Majora has done in the franchise in terms of its overall theme and story, including the side-plots of "lesser" characters.

Definitely recommend ALBW to anybody with a 2/3DS. It's not the disappointment I thought it was going to be.

---

I would say that the dungeons are longer than ALTTP's. I remember ALTTP being EXTREMELY easy and simple, and a lot of dungeons only took around 10minute~15minutes. The puzzles were also much simpler. I would say however that the bosses in ALBW were bittersweet; they LOOK badass but die very quickly. To be fair so did ALTTP bosses, but I would have hoped since the dungeons were better designed this time that the bosses would be as well. I had fought one of the bosses that's huge and menacing as hell, and it turns out it only deals as much damage to you as a normal mob, about half a heart. Instantly any feeling of "having to avoid its gigantic attacks" went out the window.

Also, Fire Rod is OP as FUCK. Buy and upgrade this item before ANYTHING else if you want to lay waste to everything, especially when doing the Treacherous Tower.

3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman - Dark Link - 2014-01-12

Upgraded Fire Rod and Great Spin Attack completely wreck Treacherous Tower.
The one thing that confuses me in ALBW is the inventory space. I had 4 open spots even after obtaining the final weapon during the final boss fight.

I take it these upgrades happen much later? I'm already in the Lorule

I don't know when it triggers, but Ravio will offer to let you buy the items instead of renting them and Mother Maiamai will upgrade one item, that you own, per 10 babies you save and return to her.

Did you have all 5 bottles, hint glasses, and those weird fruits the vendors sell? I don't have my copy with my, but I do know that you can fill every inventory slot once you get the light bow. You were just missing some items.

That's right, I didn't have the glasses or the fruit. Never got them. I figured the glasses were part of the "Gear" section.

yeah, they are an item, i picked up the fruit since i hit max rupees and wanted to see if i could fill my inventory.

Hint glasses actually restrict your vision and take up an item slot, i was playing challange mode with them on Rolleyes

There are 5 bottles. Dunno if this was just a typo or what.

You're able to buy items after completing dungeon 3, (the order you do dungeons 2 and 3 in doesn't matter). But yeah, I agree that you should get the fire rod first. You should still be renting everything anyway, but the fire rod is the best upgrade.

I might start hero mode soon, I kinda want to play the game again.

That was a type, sorry about that. too used to 4 bottles Tongue

And you should buy the fire (or ice) rod first anyways since they are the most expensive (1200) and the first item bought is at half price. Both the rod upgrades are pretty good, you just have to make sure you dont walk into the fire you cast for the fire rod. They do have some start up time though, so not always the best thing to use if a mob is right in front of you.
