WW is due in autumn, so september at earliest. lame ![]() but then again theres a chance there is no ww bundle lol Wii U Discussion: Super Mario 3D World out in all the places (that matter!) - Lozmaster - 2013-03-26 Majority of review sites have gotten a review out for lego city: Most of them say something along the lines of "We like it, hilarious GTAesque lego game". Nintendo Magazine UK 90/100 Quote:A lovingly crafted, laugh-a-minute, gem-packed open world LEGO game, the likes of which we've never seen before, but have always wanted. [Apr 2013, p.74] Eurogamer: 90/100 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-03-14-lego-city-undercover-review Quote:Lego City Undercover isn't ceaselessly brilliant - open-world games seldom are - but it's a fantastic example of what makes Traveller's Tales and TT Fusion such special developers, and the worst I can say is that it's occasionally only fun. And you know what? I'll take that wherever I can find it. Gameinformer 85/100 https://www.gameinformer.com/games/lego_city_undercover/b/wii_u/archive/2013/03/14/proof-that-sandbox-games-dont-have-to-be-gritty.aspx Quote:It isnt perfect, but I cant think of another Wii U game that Id recommend more than Lego City Undercover. Its the most interesting and highly polished game in TT Games large repertoire, and it fills an important game gap. Now kids (and their parents) can tool around in a big town where people smile even as you almost run them over in an ice-cream truck. IGN: 80/100 http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/03/14/lego-city-undercover-review Quote:Undercovers story is an incredibly entertaining homage to countless movies and television shows, and manages to feature a very strong cast of characters no small feat considering the game has no major license associated with it. NintendoLife: 8/10 http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/wiiu/lego_city_undercover Quote:There are technical cracks in its brickwork, but in combining the familiar constructs of the LEGO video games with an original story, huge amounts of humour and a ridiculous number of things to collect or discover, LEGO City Undercover proves that LEGO titles can be blockbusters without a big licence. Wii U Discussion: Super Mario 3D World out in all the places (that matter!) - byakugan - 2013-04-25 So no conference from Nintendo in the next E3, I must say I am really confused and disappoint. they have said they will be doing more Nintendo directs to inform of their products but... these have been mainly focused on the 3DS so far so this doesn't bid good for the Wii U. What's the big difference between a long nintendo direct and an e3 presentation? I can't think of a good one really. The only bad point is that, maybe, the directs will get a audience of more nintendo core fans than a generic e3 performance would. And besides, you can apply that logic to everyone. Woo, sony hasn't blown their load on the ps4 games that are coming or had any major presentation since the announcement 2 months ago, they must be in trouble! And we know sweet pineapple all about the xbox720 (That is good news anyway, we've gotten plenty of bad). Nintendo is obviously saving the Wii U stuff for a Nintendo direct closer to e3 Wii U Discussion: Super Mario 3D World out in all the places (that matter!) - Polantaris - 2013-04-26 I still don't understand why the Wii U's Virtual Console has to be a separate entity from the Wii's. They should have just continued from where the Wii's left off. Wii U Discussion: Super Mario 3D World out in all the places (that matter!) - Lozmaster - 2013-04-26 The Rayman legends Challenge game is pretty good. Free to download too, I'd recommend you all get it. They would have to tweak each and every game to fit the Virtual Console system designed for the Wii U. Sure, it'd be nice if they could just copy and paste, but it's just not that easy. It should be just using an emulation engine, which should already be developed, and the games are just like they are on a PC, a rom. The hard part is programming the emulator. If they're programming an emulation engine for each game individually, they're being terribly stupid about it, especially for the NES, SNES and N64 games. The only hard part is the GC, because it wasn't already done. Otherwise, it's just adapting the emulator to the Gamepad and control scheme of the gamepad, which is exactly the same as the Pro Controller. It's not really that much work. Nintendo straight up said in an iwata asks (Or it might have been an interview, I think it was an Iwata asks though) that they do make significant tweaks to the emulator individually per game. They're anal about getting 100% accurate emulation that works with the new features over making speedy 80~95% copies that just about work. Then they should at least pick games that aren't terrible...or ones that weren't on the Wii VC. Give us something new, not something we can use our Wiis for. Whoever makes that decision is a absolute *expleitive* Wii U Discussion: Super Mario 3D World out in all the places (that matter!) - byakugan - 2013-04-26 Lozmaster Wrote:And besides, you can apply that logic to everyone. Woo, sony hasn't blown their load on the ps4 games that are coming or had any major presentation since the announcement 2 months ago, they must be in trouble! The situation is not even similar. The PS4 was announced 2 months ago along with at least 8 tittles. The Wii U was announced like 2 years ago with that video of HD Zelda an has been out for 6 months. I couldn't care if the conference had a lot of fireworks and lights, I was hoping to see a lot of games being revealed in it for the Wii U and the fact Nintendo is doing directs instead might hint that they just don't have enough material yet to show. It actually makes sense seing how 3rd parties are using the U for rereleasing stupid rehashed remakes. Don't take it like I think all that's a fact and trying to sow panic, like I said, it just doesn't bid good for the Wii U. |
