Meh, I was gonna wait for the next chapter but they didn't release one this week.
Having a second origin should, if anything, increase their endurance when fighting, not their power, unless they burn more mmagical power per spell increasing its strength (Like Element Amplification in MS). I suppose that is the case here but I just wish they'd explain it so I'd make more sense.

Yeah, Ultear's changes weren't half bad, although I'm really disappointed by Meredy's. I don't mind that she's joined the moo-moo squad, just like a majority of Fairy Tail females; but her new design looks a lot more generic. She looks a little similar to Sherry, lost her neato accessory, and the short hair and facial expressions/shape of her facial features that really defined her.

My bet is that since Erza already is among the top mages in the guild along with Mira, Laxus and Gildarts, she didn't take the power boost as the power difference is minimal for her.
For me what made the chapter was that instant Jellal told her that he has a Fiance. I said outloud 'LOOOOOOOL pwned', and thought It'd be Ultear.

Erza: Thanks for your help, I dont think they will me moving any time soon
Ultear: Why are you perfectly fine?
Which I take as Ultear refering to how Erza seems not to mind all the pain the others are going through. She is even smiling.

Well I'm 99% sure you took it the wrong way. If Erza didn't feel she needed to train, why did she even go? And why did people who are unquestionably stronger than her (i.e. Luxus) still need to go train?

and what else could they do? Slack off for the 3 months? Maybe Erza thought it wasn't worth going through all that pain. For all we know Laxus and Mira could be just supervising their friend's training, maybe so was Erza.

Yep, nothing happened in the previous arc to show that Mira wasn't strong enough, especially not failing to stop someone attempt to murder her little sister. She has no reason to train, I agree.
And Luxus? Yeah, he totally didn't complain that he wasn't able to beat Hades and wouldn't take the chance to improve himself.
All of which, again, skips the fact that they're all 7 years out of date, Luxus , Erza and mirajane included.

Erza has no marks on her body and shows no signs of pain at all. You can say she is just so badass that she is withstanding the pain but the thing is we don't know for sure, so until next chapter, let's drop it.
