The only 3d thing that should be in a revamp of MS should be the Skills/ Effects and Maps. Keep the monsters and Characters 2d, but make them Hi-Res. Also, old copy-pasta.

I agree a 2.5D ms would be awesome, and still keep that retro feel that made me play ms in the first place. However, I don't think graphics updates should come before content and fixes, etc.

Then upgrade/noupgrade would be the same.
I think the resolution as it is is fine now.

I wouldn't want to play a Maple that's not in 2D. One of the things I love about Maple is how good the graphics are because they're 2D. I feel like a 2.5D maple wouldn't have the same feel.

Neither of those games are MapleStory 2 at all. I forgot what the second one is, they are both real games, obviously, but neither of them is MapleStory 2. There is only one so called "press release" even commenting on MapleStory 2, aside from the poll on AsiaSoft, and they make it seem like MapleStory 2 is just gonna be a giant update.
However, those 2 fall under the same line of Punch Monster, both were labeled as MS 2 as April Fool's jokes or as random rumors. All of which have been popping up for almost 3 years now. The EverPlanet one is rather new, but you can just look at the videos and images and know they are not MapleStory. Even if MapleStory went 3D, they would not abandon what already makes MapleStory, MapleStory. They would show off their Ribbon Pigs, and Orange Mushrooms in 3d, and you'd have to be high to think they ditch stuff like that when making MapleStory 2.

The whole reason I play Maple is because it's practically the only 2D online game.

For all of those who are saying that there never will be another MapleStory, Nexon Korean announced about 5 months ago that they were working on a MapleStory 2 - a 3-D MapleStory. Just because it isn't labled as "MapleStory," it doesn't mean that's not what they were going for.
