I think it's ice cream with no condiments added.
It's "plain" because there are no sprinkles, chocolate chips, syrup, etc.

I'm pretty sure you can make ice cream without flavoring, but it would probably taste like a cold, sweet cream.

No, as I said before, making flavorless ice cream is impossible since everything used t make ice cream has a flavor.

holyforest Wrote:Since this is true, "plain" ice cream does not exist. Vanilla is a flavor and therefore is not plain. Even if you made regular ice cream with the cream, sugar, milk, etc...the sugar still has "flavor" in it and so does the milk and cream. Since all of the ingredients to make ice cream have flavors, there is no plain ice cream.

The correct answer to the poll would be neither because there is no such thing as plain ice cream.

Logical fallacy: plain does not have to be judged as "flavor-less"- the two are not the same. Ex. What is a "plain skirt"? Certainly it will have texture (at least hopefully...) It will typically look or feel ordinary, which is a more adequate synonym. Certainly a plain skirt isn't one that you can't see, although some guys may wish for that.

And I voted Vanilla because that's the standard flavor that you usually get. Thus, "ordinary". Chocolate and strawberry come in close second/third.

Note, when I mean flavourless I mean that no flavouring is added (except for those in the ingredients (sugar, etc))
