Queen. - Kivuli - 2009-07-27 Updated the first post! Queen. - Zalfor - 2009-07-28 - Are you a fan of the band? If so, when /how did you become one? A:I was 5 years old and was sitting at home handing out candy on Halloween with my sister since it was too cold to go out, but we had a few people come along anyway. We were listening to the ghettoblaster(or stereo) and I heard We Will Rock You for the first time. I was ecstatic. Been listening to them ever since. But of course, not when I was 5, I had no idea who the band was lol. But hey, it made a what-would-be forgettable evening into one I remembered. - Who is your favorite member of the band? - Freddie. Or should I say Farrokh? Well anyways, he represented something to me that most other singers cannot even fathom muchtheless express. You can sense in all his songs that no matter if the song didn't suit him, he made it suit him. He was blessed with having such great bandmates behind him, but a showman he was, and he would've probably done the exact same thing no matter what profession he was in. He was not one to bow to anybody that thought they deserved to be bowed to. Honesty before debauchery ^^ The last question does not relate to me. Also, I enjoyed Hot Space. I own pretty much all the albums though And you think they have limited air play? Pfft, try finding them on Canadian airways. But I guess that's due to our Rush-love lol.~Zal Queen. - Kivuli - 2009-07-28 I didn't answer my own questions! Hah. - Are you a fan of the band? If so, when /how did you become one? I've been a fan of Queen for as long as I can remember. I can distinctly remember how much I enjoyed watching videos from their latter two albums when I was a kid, especially "I'm Going Slighly Mad". It was only a few years ago, after buying the second and third volume of their Greatest Hits, coupled with the advent of YouTube, that I was able to appreciate just how talented the band was. - Who is your favorite member of the band? Dr. Brian May, CBE. Of all four members of Queen, his style of songwriting has resonated with me the most, in both his contributions to Queen as well as his solo work and beyond. Not to mention that the man is one of the finest guitarists to ever pick up the instruments, and has used a guitar he built as a teenager for the past 40 some odd years! May makes his guitar "sing" with as much emotion as many singers can with their voice. Brian is also an accomplished singer, and is deeply involved in many charities, including animal welfare. And the man has a doctorate in astrophysics to boot! Queen. - MasPan - 2009-07-29 Killer Queen is an absolute favorite song of mine. Queen. - MysticLisa - 2009-07-29 My Mom,who passed away last year at the age of 85, loved Queen. Freddie was her fav from the group, she had a magazine pic hanging in her bedroom of him. She also liked The Doors and Janis Joplin. Queen. - MasPan - 2009-07-29 MysticLisa Wrote:My Mom,who passed away last year at the age of 85, loved Queen.
