Some people buy some things in MTS at a crazy amount. I don't see a difference here technically. Would u pay thousands for a GAWDLEH weapon? These people did. - kleptophobia - 2009-01-24 You forget that people in global do the exact same thing... People pay hundreds of dollars for items (primarily duped weapons) via Paypal. It isn't anything new, but I do find it disgusting. Would u pay thousands for a GAWDLEH weapon? These people did. - Derimed - 2009-01-24 Think about it this way. Rich people drive Bentleys. A Bentley is $240,000 new. They pay the price of a house for a car! What's $2,500 to such a person? A top lawyer earns $500 an hour, so he spends 5 hours work to make his kid squee. Why not? On the other hand, if this is done by AsiaSoft, what would Nexon America do? O.0 Would u pay thousands for a GAWDLEH weapon? Most people with that sort of money are shoving other people in the stock exchange pits, making 2 million one day, losing 3 the next, gaining 5 the third; ulcers and heart attacks are common. Or, they might put 14 hours a day at a law firm, which is basically skilled paper pushing for 30 days of your life. So, you spend liek 35 years doing that, your kids grow up, but the whole time you're in the house with them, they're asleep. You usually have to choose between quality of life and big money. The really well-paid people are also usually the most stressed out ones, and they often do shady things for money. Would u pay thousands for a GAWDLEH weapon? These people did. - Retalion - 2009-01-24 Something looks wrong with the pictures... like the image of the weapons were photoshopped in or something. It's strange, cause it looks like they're ACTUALLY holding something, but something about WHAT they're holding looks a bit off to me for some reason... D: And on the topic, good for Asiasoft for finding a new way to make money. In the end, people have to buy into the idea in order for it to work. You can have these auctions all you want but if no one buys, it makes no difference; they dont make any money. This works because people actually for some reason have the money for it. If godly weapons werent so abundant in GMS out of duped white scrolls and pure scrolling luck/"skill", I could see people throwing over the money for this too. But... yeah. As someone else asked, what is 2500 in USD? I know their conversions are kinda different. When I went to Japan, it was $1 dollar Canadian = approximately 100 yen so if it worked on rates like that, it would really only be 25 dollars, which I doubt. At the same time, I dont think it was 2500 USD as that would be quite pricey too... I was thinking somewhere in between, maybe 250 or something, but it'd be nice if someone could clarify it.
