Well, wrong in that sense, but right over all. That is the given answer from Nexon on what Aran's gender is. This is why they constantly shuffle them around. Aran's gender is.... Aran.

None of that happened when I did the quest 2 weeks ago on a xenon mule. In fact it was the opposite. I selected A (Male)and she told me I was wrong. I talked to her again, selected C and got past her. No Aran appeared at all. There may be another similar quest for another job, but that's what happened when I did the Xenon quest. (I won't say my memory is perfect, but I am pretty sure.)

You are right, the other quest is the Adventurer Warrior's storyline, that is pretty much the same.
