Mazz Wrote:Catching Fire was great! I have no hilarious commentary to share though but oh well. The bitches with the stupid hair and ridiculous eyelashes made me a bit angry.
Also I downloaded Into the Wild (and Erin can get it on Netflix), so we're going to watch it this weekend! Probably won't watch any anime, she isn't really into anime, but neither am I to be honest. Psychological/thriller is usually my favourite genre (Donnie Darko is a great film, Memento and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind were also fantastic, in the psychological/thriller-esque genre, those are two of my all time favourites)

Just read some reviews of Confessions too, sounds really good, I'll have to check that out!

I hadn't heard of The Number 23 but after reading some reviews I've added that to the list as well xD

I completely understand about the people with the weird hair (insert some metaphor about people being superficial here, blah~).
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a lovely film! Confusedparkle:
I've never heard of Momento or The Number 23, so I'll definitely be checking both of them out. What nice film recommendations spawn from a Twilight thread, lol :3

forgot about this thread sorry but let's be honest no one actually gives a pomegranate

thoughts on twilight parts two through five:

2.) can't remember, probably mediocre at best
3.) this was probably the worst one
4.) i think this one was ok? i was actually a bit glad when bella died to be honest i got a bit tired of her
5.) nvm she's alive and a vampire, what a surprise, and what the pineapple: jacob imprints on a baby (this is not ok, but bella could've been less of a peach about it), the epic fight scene isn't even real and all of the evil vampires just sort of vanished??? awful

would probably not recommend, though maybe watch the films instead of reading the books if you really have to do either.

I bet she's made you watch The Notebook.

Nope! I think I downloaded that a few months ago and then promptly forgot about it before watching. She did get me hooked on Supernatural though (which was good up until like season 6 or whenever they made it clear that the main characters are literally impossible to kill).
Made me watch The Possession too which was god awful.

If nothing else it'd be faster.

Then again you could probably skip chapters at a time and not miss much.

I also always find it funny when people throw the "It was made for teens," card. Disney Kids movies are often pretty good even as an adult without nostalgia driving you.

let me tell you mazz, i'm not exaggerating, this is a fact, but i don't know a single guy, not a single guy that has watched the twilight films, that has done so with an excuse other than "my girlfriend wanted me to see them"

watching twilight IS a symbol of being whipped, 100% fact. ask your friends (male ones) how many have seen twilight, then ask why they did it. i dare you.

icephoenix21; Memento is awesome, confusing as heck though (should be) download both versions i'd say (there's an unscrambled one)

and Mazz; since you're into masochism, i recommend this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teeth_%28film%29
i watched it with a friend and his girlfriend, i cried, he cried, we rolled in the floor crying holding our balls, she laughed.

Short film of a girl who falls for a demon, it's more about the growth of love than "IT ISNT MEANT TO BE"
A cute film on unrequited love
Sassy "bring it on"-esque film. More about the wit behind it, plus it has jeff bridges
One of my personal favorites, it has this facetious tone throughout the whole thing
The original based on the poem
I feel like this is a gem a lot of people overlook because of the ridiculous child-likeness of it, it had a lot of great metaphors regarding the actual romeo/juliet
Every person should watch this movie, it was fantastic especially for any couple

There's some good couple films so you don't waste anymore time on garbage Rolleyes

I have a bunch of friends that have seen Twilight because they thought it would be funny.

I thought this was the best part of the movie while watching it, and then it wasn't.

Oh god. I have heard about Teeth...

holycow; #teamjacob
Really though he is much better than Edward and wolves are much cooler than vampires... no contest

Niernen; I KNOW Sad(( the whole movie was building up to it and I was finally content that there was a good action scene and then it wasn't even real wtp
I would've been sad if Seth had really died though Sad he was my favourite
