More counterplay while still being an important, albeit more focused objective.Cons: taking Baron as the underdog is now worthless. Not for split push comps Season 4 changes thread - MasPan - 2013-10-30 VerrKol Wrote:Not for split push comps If it means a split pusher is suddenly capable of taking turrets in a few seconds, as described currently, I highly agree. A focused split push comp with enough waveclear/disengage to survive or stall a siege can easily buy enough time for a Tryndamere, Zed, Twisted Fate to take a few turrets if the enemy leaves them alone. But overall, I agree with Jamesie that it does make the "desperation Baron" a much less viable strategy when losing. Season 4 changes thread - Dredragon - 2013-10-30 You still do get 1500 gold for your whole team, don't you? Season 4 changes thread - MasPan - 2013-10-30 Dredragon Wrote:You still do get 1500 gold for your whole team, don't you? With Dragon's gold scaling as the game progresses, it'd likely be more important if judged purely on that. The losing team will still want to try to prevent the other team getting the Baron buff (the best way to do so would be to secure it for themselves) though. Now the kill reward for very early game deaths is reduced. http://www.surrenderat20.net/2013/10/1031-pbe-update-nasus-vu.html Season 4 changes thread - Dredragon - 2013-10-31 Omg, so many interesting change! Like wow! Successfully cleansing an effect that prevents you from moving creates a shockwave that knocks nearby enemy's back slightly. like omg We're getting so much variety now, yummyy Also stuff like the ap ratios for extra armor on people like soraka and leona (mres scales with ap for leo I think though) is really cool. Ap leona might be even better now, seeing as she'll be able to tank mages more, while also getting more armor on top of the armor from zhonya. i want these changes now riot pls Season 4 changes thread - Jamesie - 2013-10-31 PeePeeAyeDeeKay Wrote:Seeing as S@20 updated, it says:Not really. That's assuming that they didn't introduce more support-AP items though. Oh god AP Janna would be autoattacking harder than most AD carries. Season 4 changes thread - Nion - 2013-10-31 Dance is based off: ![]() I'm probably going to get this since I've liked Nasus's farm simulator play style. The biggest change (to me) would be the bush changes. I wonder how this will be. Season 4 changes thread - PeePeeAyeDeeKay - 2013-11-05 Info on new Masteries, Changes, and Popstar Ahri... http://www.surrenderat20.net/2013/11/114-pbe-update.html http://www.surrenderat20.net/2013/11/announcing-popstar-ahris-spirit-rush.html Season 4 changes thread - Link - 2013-11-12 I've been playing PBE a bit, testing out Season 4 mastery and jungle changes... I'm not sure I'm thrilled. I only played one PvP game and completely dominated in it, but regardless of that, I feel the jungle took a nerf. The new camp is terrible. I wouldn't touch it until later levels, or until I built a fully built jungle item, for that extra gold (+40 gold for a large/epic monster kill is nice). However, I'm not sure those changes to the jungle items make them worth it. For the cost, it doesn't seem like it makes up for what you pay for it until the time it'd take you to build two items (including the time you spent making that jungle item). I've read many posts about this through the League of Legends communities as well and it seems they all think the same way - with some math behind it. I've also noticed players that stream (like Trick2g) not fully building their jungle item at all and just sticking to their Spirit Stone all game, while building everything else instead. I'm not sure how I feel about the new jungle at all. The masteries are still kind of weird to me to begin with. I feel like I'm taking way more damage in the jungle and have so many close calls in the jungle at starting levels... Every time I start up a game, I have a fear of hearing "executed!" while fighting the wolves after I've cleared blue. There's also the fact that I'm still level 3 after I clear the jungle entirely... Yay, slower leveling in the jungle... ._. Also, just a small note : When I first started playing PBE and the Season 4 Jungle, Udyr started at level 1 with boots and potions, using utility masteries, with 422 movement speed. I played again a day or two ago and it seemed to have dropped to 411. I can't find any data on any changes to movement speeds or anything, so I don't know what went wrong. Even Trick2g was talking about how he had 422 movement speed as Utility Udyr with the Season 4 Masteries at level 1. The wight camp just makes waiting to gank bot/top not a complete waste of resources. Yes, you're going to experience difficulty in the jungle if you don't go into defense, season one jungle was worse. Also, if you're in utility you're probably noticing Wanderer turning off because you were in combat. Season 4 changes thread - MorbidMagus - 2013-11-12 I personally prefer the hyper farmers(Shyv, Phoenix Udyr) in the jungle, with a good bit of Elise who can do pretty much everything well. As such, I'm a huge fan of the new camp. It's much more noticeable when you get a couple levels and your jungle speed starts to skyrocket. Biggest thing is being able to sit in a lane that bitches about the new tent or more spoils to get if you counter jungle. The mastery changes do irk me though. Particularly for Udyr. I'm starting to feel like the Utility tree just isn't worth it at this point but I feel like its so vital to having a successful early game against competent laners. Overall it will probably just take adapting to the changes/clear time as well as getting used to the new tools in each tree. I'm one of those junglers that won't worry about ganking unless the opponent is past the halfway point in the lane. The Wanderer thing isn't like that. The instant I buy boots and leave the base, I only have 411 speed.

However, I tested out AD, Defense, and Utility masteries on PBE and I don't feel much of a difference between any of them. I still barely survived any of the camps as I was clearing my first time through. The only difference that I really noticed was that Defensive was way slower than Offensive and Utility trees, with Offensive and Utility being pretty much tied. The only time I didn't have a tough time on my first time through the jungle was when I went Tiger in the jungle, starting with a Doran's Blade and using Life Steal Quintessences. Granted, I've never had leash in PBE, but in the Season 3 jungle, I had way less issues doing leashless blue.
