Pokebank and Poketransfer are awesome..

But i'm sure he mentioned "purchasing" pokebank. meaning you have to buy the software in order to transfer your pokemon from older games.

I was sooooo happy when they announced the bank system cuz transferring 1 by 1 sucked.

Then everything changed when a bank fee was announced...

Also, YESSSSS MEGA KANTO STARTERRRRSSS

Not a fan of how Charizard has a gigantic point on his head (sorta of like Mega Blaziken???) but I'll deal with it!

There's a free trial period, so if you need to transfer stuff you can.

Already knew about it.

And what when gen 7 rolls around huh? I'm not paying money for something which they managed to do for free for 3 generations just because they can charge for it n ow.

I don't think pokemon bank is necessary. That poke transporter sounds like the free variant which has a drawback of not being able to backtrack to bw/bw2

Presuming the NA direct was the same as europe, the transporter uploads them to the bank from old games. You can't redownload them without a subscription. You can't backtrack pokemon to B/W/B2/W2 regardless of pokemon bank.

500 yen roughly converts to 3 british pounds.. or $5 for all you americans. and around 4 euros for my fellow Europeans.

For a year, that's not a lot, at all. that's like a penny a day.

EDIT: the pineapple, southperry can't do the british pound sign? I'M OFFENDED.

It works both ways: if it's not a lot, why can't Nintendo just eat the cost?

While I see your point, it's different from how the global link worked, which while free, only dealt with players uploading 1 pokemon at a time. (2 if you include trades). Pokemon Bank is on a massive scale and therefore has bigger costs.

sure, $5 a year isn't a lot, but times that by the millions of players and it's quite an expense.

So.. Would Venusaur be the best choice of those if it was a one on one comparison? Better than Blastoise because of typing. Better than Charizard because it's fine against fire with Thick Fat. And if Charizard is out, you can use Solar Beam instantly thanks to Drought.

I'd say so yeah.
Charizard's boosted Fire attacks would be of normal effectiveness, so it would have to resort to Flying moves, which generally aren't special. (Mega Charizard gets boosted Special Attack), meanwhile Mega Venusaur gets boosted defenses. Then again, Venusaur wouldn't be very good offensively against Charizard unless it uses Poison or Normal moves.

Blastoise would be at a massive disadvantage. it's only comeback to Venusaur (Ice type moves) would no longer be useful.

Yeah. Plus, with Drought, you can also get double effectiveness with Growth.
