Well that's just great.
She's up for re-election November 2014 so she still has well over a year to continue her period in office assuming that the amendment to the Voting Rights Act has a negative effect on her voting base.

The Supreme Court Justice decision was unrelated to Senator Davis's filibuster. Political parties will always gerrymander to get their desired districts when it comes to voting day. Something that is 'sore' about the losers:
