No, i do not take it seriously at all, quite the opposite. But i can not see the joke(Or rather it simply does not appeal to me) and do not find it funny, thus i can not laugh a little at this comic and move on.

There are a LOT of franchises that repeat the same thing over and over because it works and keeps selling well. It's not insanity, but rather "If it aint broken, dont' fix it".

For you guys that are taking this seriously, you should seriously sort out your priorities. The game is meant for parents to keep their children from talking too much when they can't sit the eff down. ffs, it's pokemon lol.
