I think he might have been referring to Evan's personality. His character is rather dim witted, considering he can't figure out that he's working for the wrong side throughout most of his story. I mean come on, he doesn't even say anything if he goes to Edelstein, where there are tons of people donning the same emblem that's on one of his medals and forcing their rule upon the citizens of a helpless town.

It's me or the girl in the card looks like cygnus and the boy looks like the mysterious character in the video (same clothes), so maybe the mother of actual empress was in love with the thief legend or maybe he is from the future, which makes sense because if you look at his hat it has feathers that look similar to the future erev birds and he was in love with the actual empress ( maybe he is a hero who waked up late ) and he felt in love with the actual empress cygnus until she turned bad.

Oh come on you guys. Evan went to help as most people as he could through the Maple World since Mir convince him that they have the power to help people. They help Francis puppet, since it seems the puppet is kinda of a good guy, and the puppet tells them that his master was hurt fighting his enemies.
After that they are asked to join the organization, that according to the puppet, is full of good people that help others. Since both Mir and Evan trusted the puppet, they choose to join it. Everything they did was trying to help the others, without realizing that they were actually hurting people. (None of their missions helping the Black Wings directly showed the consequences, so they continued to help.)
After they found out they were fooled byb Afrien, they set on a path to revenge against the Black Mage and the Black Wings, how could you find this irritating?!

Except he does say something about Edelstein after he beats up 'Gentlemanly Bastard', but decides not to do anything about Edelstein since he thinks that most of the Black Wings members stationed over there were tricked just like he was. Which is still a sucky conclusion, but at least he didn't outright ignore it.
