All they did was add some new attacks to third job.
People always complained about how terrible avenger was, so they added 2 new mob skills and a rush skill.
All it does is make 2nd and 3rd job not suck so much ass anymore.
4th job Night Lords still play the EXACT same way, except on mobs, they use that exploding thing/band of thieves thing instead of avenger.
It's nowhere near as drastic as the bucc/sair changes.
Whatever though, it's not like I'll be able to afford skillbooks regardless what they do, unless thief revamp includes bringing back real mastery books dropping.

Your not the only one. I like it too. they should of just buffed it or when it hit the last it was capable of hitting in a straight light it exploded into three stars and did 1/3 the damage of each avenger(one real; one shadowed)

It's a NL alright.
Nope, it's from KMS not KMST. And that is an old video. Drain doesn't exist anymore in the current KMST 1.2.409.
And that guy was using Triple Throw, not Quad Throw.

The main problem that avenger had was not being able to hit both sides... However, that got fixed with that wind thing plus flash jump... Just in time to make that combo obsolete :p
At least it works with the exploding stars at earlier levels.

I think the main thing that really sets me off is that the animations and skills really just don't suit the concept of Ninja to me, if that makes sense. All the skills are extremely flashy and gaudy, it looks like they are hacking, and it's just a plain eye sore in my opinnion. NLs before this weren't very flashy, but in all honesty do really think a "ninja assassin" would want to be so loud about his moves? Not saying that maple story takes ANY kind of logic into consideration, but compared to the old NLs it's just disappointing. They could have done a lot more regarding stars and claws, it seems you'll never even need to touch so much as one stack of stars from level 30 to 120 and even that might be an overstatement.

Personally, I would've been fine with Nexon going the copy & paste way by keeping Avenger and having an Ultimate/Advanced Avenger in 4th job like the way they did with BM's. It would increase Avenger from a mid-range mobber to a long-range mobber with extra damage and maybe some DoT/chance of status effects.

Guy is clearly using throwing stars. Pay attention 'round 1:30.
