It's an RPG by Squaresoft for the SNES. And it was really good.
You and a party of 3 travel through time, and whatnot. It has the best replay value of an RPG as well, because depending on your actions through time you get different endings. It's got a new game plus feature as well.

Edit: I read in Nintendo Power that they are adding a new temple/timezone, and with that more endings! The "Lost Shrine" (I think it's called) was originally going to be in the cart, but they scrapped the idea because they didn't have enough room/time.
