I still like the meso sink idea for skills. They really couldn't be that exploitable if you needed to pay large mesos. I liked the idea of guild skills, but it's to hard to get to the next skill the sink doesn't work well. They need skill sinks. Better ones. They won't be exploitable if done right.

You say "wtp" to the fame requirements... You should see the quests.
Level 50 → 60 : Jump quest
Level 60 → 70 → 80 : Say "hi" to Tonosama, Kacchu Musha, Tengu, Body Guard A, B and Grandpa.

Edit : Oh, and those boss ETCs you have to collect... You need 100 or more of them. It's ridiculous as hell.

50→60 != Jump quest. ITs just etc collection from Wild Cargos and Malady.

Eh. Whatever. I haven't done it in years. In any case, once you do the level 50 → 60 Zakum Helmet upgrade, you can never do it again (on that character). :|

The quests for the Lv 70 helms are ridiculous.
First you need to get the following
20 Black Crow Sabots
20 Bodyguard B Bullets (I AM NOT SHITTING MYSELF HERE)
Then, once thats done, you need to collect the following
1 Lv 60 zhelm
2 STR Crystals (Which means you need at least lv 5 mining)
50 Fairy Honey (RARE ASS DROP FROM EXTRA A...)
200 Gigantic Spirit Viking etc
2 10% Helm Def
At least this quest is repeatable..
For the lv 80 helm... You need FIVE of those Pouches from the Castellan.. FIVEEEEEEEEEE

Okay, so I was way off. Nonetheless, sh'itty system for "meh" helmets. I'd rather spend a month trying to defeat Chaos Zakum, constantly failing and retrying, to get a 21 stat helmet that doesn't require 88 fame and has a better potential tier.
The level 80 Zakum helmets are already rare and expensive as hell. :|
