Debtocalypse Averted... for now - Sarah - 2011-08-01 Also, for the record, it's still got quite a lot of votes to get through so it's not quite averted yet. Some idiot tea bagger can still stand in the way within the next 34 hours. Good luck, America.st. Debtocalypse Averted... for now - Kalovale - 2011-08-01 So, what's the worst I can expect from this? Higher unemployment rate? Inflation? Higher tax? Loss of Social Securities? Well, if everybody can live through it, I doubt I can't. Even if everybody can't live through it, I still doubt I can't. Debtocalypse Averted... for now - Corn - 2011-08-01 Actually, I'd think the employment rate would increase, as there's less incentive to go unemployed and receive unemployed benefits. Debtocalypse Averted... for now - Satellite - 2011-08-01 You could have sold America to the Chinese. PROFIT! Its funny how it's "common" knowledge that china owns most of america, yet it isn't the truth at all lol Debtocalypse Averted... for now - Five Second Pose - 2011-08-01 KhainiWest Wrote:Its funny how it's "common" knowledge that china owns most of america, yet it isn't the truth at all lol China and Japan are one-two When did I say China owned America ?_? America owns a fair chunk of its own debt, but that's still almost half that they have little control over. I spent like, half an hour trying to find similar data for other countries then gave up. That implies unemployment is a lifestyle choice and there are plenty of jobs in America to go around. Pretty much this. I don't know where all the money in China goes, but you won't like being an average Joe over there. That's why if 2012 is real, I'd think Earth would be a whole lot better off without humans. Sorry for being so cynical, but I seriously think we are too immature to try to be the "head honchos" on this planet.
