Stereotypes say all hispanic people are the same. Yet:
Spaniards and mexicans don't look alike at all. They share completely different traditions. They even speak a different variant of spanish from each other. They are actually separated by us by an ocean. We don't even share the same face shapes or even skin tone.
Yeah, some stereotypes are totally made up.

Dunno about the Japanese-French relationship, however my old French teacher told me the same thing about speaking English in France. They don't. Most of the populace can speak it, it's part of schooling like many other countries, but they don't speak it in public. If you ever go to France, you better hope you know French, or it's going to be a HORRIBLE experience. According to my old teacher, even if you CAN speak French, if you initiate a conversation with English, they won't respond to you even if you start speaking French afterwards. Apparently they find it insulting. And you wonder why people don't like French people anymore, outside of the various other things that France has done to annoy people...

Personally I'm trying to find what extent the French stereotype is true to. There are people posting conflicting accounts.
It could be possible that they become more open-minded as time went on, or that people just kept telling each other the same story about a single French person refusing to speak in English.....
I still want to know if more of them speak English, or if more of them dislike speaking it.

New Zealanders in this part of the world is called Kiwis, Aussies are Australians.
That aside, in my time spent in both New Zealand and Australia, I have found both Kiwis and Aussies have somewhat different attitudes with Asians. But then you have to see what age they are, when I was in grade 8 in NZ, what Alexandra Wallace said about Asians pretty much is the general knowledge of Asians by the majority of white Kiwi kids (this is back in 2000), I didn't have anyone say "Ching chong" to my face in high school when I moved to Australia (2001).
As for the adult population, I can't say for Kiwis, because I haven't been back since I started to mingle with adults, but Australians adults on average are pretty tolerant for Asians, although some older Australians have somewhat ingrained ideal of Asians being evil or something, and I have some bad experiences with them being rather rude to me. Most of them are fairly friendly.

If you are friendly to me, I be friendly to you. It depends on how they treat me. But in general, I don't dislike white people as long as they don't mistaken me for some other nationality with malicious intent, then I get somewhat pissed.

I try to be impartial when it comes to picking friends, but for some reason it's always harder for me to make friends with white people. I don't know what it is. I mean, yeah, I have a handful of white friends, but the majority of my friends are still asian. It just feels easier to talk to asians, compared to white people. Actually I tend to get along very well with hispanic people, too. When it comes to white people though, I dunno... Keep in mind though, that this is only my experience with the white people that I know. And most of the ones I know are obnoxious, or hipsters. Maybe I just haven't met the right people yet.

From a sociological standpoint, this is a common trend amongst any of the peoples traditionally occupying or directly descendant of the people traditionally occupying the Scandinavian peninsula. Or people descendant from an Old Norse background. Doesn't help that hitler took the features commonly associated with this people group and declared it the master race.

This is generally French nationalism, not racism. They are snubbing your country or your presence as a foreigner who has not adopted their culture, not your race. Not saying there aren't racists in France, but that the attitude that is common is not racist.

Unfortunately i'm not familiar with the research here, but i do believe that the Japanese are often prone to isolationism, both personally and on a national level. I know in some cultures and traditional families, marrying outside the race is frowned upon so that can't actually be encouraging interracial relations. I think in the case of Asian Americans a lot of these more traditional values are seen as antiquated. This could be true of Asians living in other countries/continents as well. This may also be the case among the majority of the youth in Asian countries. Not sure about that the only stats I've seen on Asian youths have been about the stagnation of culture in Japan.

I actually really like asian people. There are hardly any around here, but yeah the few that are here aren't that bad. Without them I wouldn't have a lot of my precious games/anime anyway so thank god for that.

Generally, the British are very nationalist. Inside their country, here is discrimination against the different regions even. They really do see themselves as top of the chart. Of course, you need to remember, not EVERYONE is like that. Many stereotypes are stretched, but there are grains of truth in there. They don't apply to everyone, but do to some.

Not saying that all of them are like this, but most of the new immigrants have no respect for anybody else. They think they can behave like they are in China, just because they are filthy rich.
