Last night was pretty scary. My mom and I had been out shopping for baseball helmets and fabric when the dark storm clouds rolled in. We were just checking out when it had started to rain. The clouds were piratically black and the rain was picking up quickly, so we ran to the car. As we drove home, the rain on the windshield was so loud I had to scream to talk to my mom. I couldn't even see, and I have no idea how she even drove home. Hail started coming down as we were halfway home, but it was only pea-sized. When we got in our garage and shut the door, nickle-sized hail started to fall and it was hitting the house. The noise in the garage from the hail hitting the door was deafening. After that, I went and hid in the basement while my parents watched the weather. I really, really hate tornadoes. When it was done storming about 20 minutes later, the sky above my house was crystal clear and you could see stars, even. So, my mom and I went outside and we saw the storm cell to the east. We could see it rotating and for me, it was really disturbing but fascinating at the same time. There was a very cold wind coming from the east and a warm wind from the west. Feeling both of those one after another was novel, but frighting at the same time. I'm really glad I went out to see it, though. I don't think I would be that scared of them though. At least not in "advanced" city. Well, crap, there's a tornado coming soon. - FoolsLove - 2011-05-26 Satellite Wrote:I feel privileged living in a country without tornadoes/tsunamis/earthquakes/volcanos what so ever. Finland can and has gotten tornadoes before. |
