JUDAS MUSIC VIDEO - FrozNlite - 2011-05-05
Excellent explanation of the video, Kurt. I'm glad I caught pretty much all of that (thank you to the years of religious education required in becoming a confirmed Catholic), but was still unsure if certain interpretations I had were right until I saw what you said. I think determining an interpretation of the water scene would make a great source of discussion (you know, when we're not both working on English papers), but I like where you're going with it and think you could be on to something.
Throwing this out there for those who want to keep posting interpretations: Gaga has said over the past few weeks that she herself is playing the role of Mary Magdalene in the video, which I think is really interesting when you actually see the final product.

Confirmed Catholics yayyyyyyy. I was assuming she was Mary Magdalene, but it doesn't fit at all parts with the interpretation, but Gaga has to be in the video somehow.

One of the best references of that video, is the part refering to Mary Magdalene washing Jesus' feet, but instead in the video, she's in a bathtub washing both Judas and Jesus' feet, which confirms all the new story in the song, the woman that's in love with both of them. It also makes reference to Mary Magdalene in the last scene, where she is stoned until death, what was going to happen to her if Jesus didn't get into that.
It's indeed amazing on how she put those references in there.
